GOING, GOING, GONE! ⚾️❤️

The HEARTest Yard was thrilled to host our first annual Home Run Derby on August 8 at Charlotte Christian School! It was truly a grand slam of an evening, with 150 home runs hit and more than $15,000 raised for our Heart Families!

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible people and organizations who helped make this event possible. A special thank you to:

* The Brain Behind the Event: HEARTest Yard Summer Intern, Cohen Bettencourt @cohenbettencourt and all the hitters he brought out! What a show it was!
* Presenting Sponsor: TowneBank
* Event Host: Charlotte Christian School & Supporting Staff
* Hitting Sponsors: Expand Athletix, McKenney’s, HOTWORX, Zero Waste Recycling LLC, The Johnson Group, Lexington County Blowfish, and Showcase Baseball Academy (SBA)
* Event Photography & Videography: Griffin Zetterberg, Quinn Clouden, and Doubted Athletes

And most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us at the ballpark, cheered on our hitters, and helped make this night one to remember!

Your support helps The HEARTest Yard continue its mission of supporting Heart Families when they need it most. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped knock our first Home Run Derby out of the park!

We had the pleasure of feeding the Lexington County Blowfish players—and many of their visiting teams—after a lot of their games this season! ⚾️🐷

Supporting our local teams and community is always important to us, and we were honored to provide BBQ sandwiches and a postgame meal for these hardworking athletes.

Did you get a chance to try one of our BBQ sandwiches at a Friday night game this season? Let us know what you thought in the comments!

Thank you to the Blowfish organization, players, fans, and everyone who helped make this season so special. We’re always proud to serve Lexington County—on and off the field!
