POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

At the beginning of 2021 I said I would quit my job as a barista and be working as a photographer full time by the end of the year. I quit my job in May without a real plan and by July I had a job as an in-house product photographer. I proved to myself how powerful I can be if I mentally envision what I want. I learned how adaptable to change I can be. I learned to love myself more. 2021 had its setbacks, but I’m proud to be where I am 🤍

2021 dump of people, places, things that are anything but dumpy. Wish I could add more than 10 photos but I suppose editing is a good thing.

Happy new year my friends 🌱

having the opportunity to work on this project was a dream come true. every time we have a session w @hopetala it feels easy. @hopetala is the only artist/writer I know who will write a whole damn song completely silently. no humming under her breath or nothing! @brandn.wav and I are working away, we finally finish the beat, load it up, and she’s got the entire song done! structured and all! and I never heard a sound! and it’s brilliant! she’s a singular talent with a vital voice, and I feel honored to have been let into her musical world. and beyond that, she is a fiercely kind human who I’m honored to call a friend.

I wanna thank @dinasahimreed @salxo @universalmusicgroup @emirecords @republicrecords for the opportunity!

I wanna thank our day 1 @goesbysky for making our first session happen and doing what she does best!! also wanna thank the great @amine for lending his talents to “cherries“!!

big shout to the incomparable @jaycenjoshua for understanding the sound of this project and pushing these records to another level!! 🎛

shouts to @colin_m_leonard @singmastering for pushing these songs even further and providing those finishing touches. 🎚

big thank you to all the musicians who took our ideas and added that ineffable human element.

Even though we all didn’t get to start and end what we set out to do on this day TOGETHER, I’m grateful for this community of women that strive to support and push each other! #teamjuice #nike13.1

[SWIPE] SKRRRRT!💨🗣 IM RUNNING MY FIRST HALF MARATHON IN 5️⃣ WEEKS.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified, but I’m also super excited. Before I take up any challenge, there’s a line from #Armageddon that always comes to mind, when AJ asks Oscar how he’s doing right before they’re about to take off and he responds, “Great, I got that "excited/scared" feeling. Like 98% excited, 2% scared. Or maybe it's more - It could be two - it could be 98% scared, 2% excited but that's what makes it so intense, it's so - confused.”🤯 What an awesome feeling! Nervous Excitement💥 I’ve grown to welcome the thrill of a new opportunity. It’s more fun that way. Think about all the times you’ve made yourself sick because you thought the butterflies in your belly + rapid heart beat were signs you were afraid when in reality, you were probably just excited, curious, passionate, and maybe even in love. Own that. Practice being more comfortable with fear, and you’ll become fearless.

If I leave you with anything today it’s this, there’s nothing wrong with being afraid as long as you don’t let it stop you from doing the things that excite you. 💪
Thank you @nikelosangeles for this inspiring/motivating journey thus far.
