PILLION by @goldfingerdesign
---------------------------------------

Written and directed by Harry Lighton in his directorial debut and adapted from BOX HILL by Adam Mars-Jones. It stars Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård. The movie had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, where it won the Best Screenplay prize, and was nominated for the Caméra d’Or and the Queer Palm.

Colin, a weedy wallflower letting life pass him by, meets Ray, the impossibly handsome leader of a motorbike club, who then takes him on as his submissive. Ray uproots Colin from his dreary suburban life, introducing him to a community of kinky, queer bikers and taking all sorts of virginities along the way. But as Colin steps deeper into Ray’s world of rules and mysteries, he begins to question whether the life of a 24/7 submissive is for him. Has he found his calling, or simply swapped one form of suffocation for another?

“The Groundhog” will premiere at the Philly Fringe this September!

The Professor gives an excruciatingly detailed lecture on 1993’s Groundhog Day while slowly losing control of the classroom, losing the thread of what they meant to say, and losing their grip on reality. A tour de force monologue for one talking clown (like Groucho) and one silent clown (like Harpo). Content warning: Academia, arts education, missing dongles, PowerPoint, teaching the worst class of your life. A new play by Savannah Reich (Oedipus in Seattle, What is the Butt Game), directed by Francesca Montanile Lyons (Vile, Clowncuterie). Starring Hannah Gold as The Professor and Alex Braslavsky as Sam the TA.

• Backrooms [2026]

Spoiler prossima recensione: 🗡🩸🥋
