ArtFight 2025 Behind the Scenes! This attack was for @goldstrike_art and it is one of the more challenging pieces I did. Love it to bits for that! The lava was the main focus here as it needed to draw attention. I wanted it to be impossible to overlook, constant pressure of its existence weighing on the viewer the same way it weighs on the character's thoughts. Her backstory is amazing, I highly recommend giving goldstrike their dues for it ^^ Having the character face their past traumas in such an unavoidable moment was a difficult expression to capture. I wanted her to look fearful, but not panicked. A steady dread as she treads carefully past the stuff that left her scars. Initially, I wasn't going to shade this piece, but I realized that the lighting had to be there, a haunting, burning reminder of how close she was. It wasn't just something next to her; it needed to affect her, and that's what the lighting does. Hope you guys enjoy the attack! Don't forget to like ❤ and follow ➡️ @theindigosentinel . 🐲🎨🐉ArtFight 2022 Summary! (Part 2/2) Shahra (@skyran.sketches) - I loved working on the texture and feathers! Dakini (@nightmun_arts) - The contrast of bright green and dark scales were really cool to work with! Latia (@the_real_tallyway) - The earthy colors were really cool and the snails were fun to include! Caracara (@goldstrike_art) - I enjoyed working with the pinks and oranges of this RainWing! Gosth (@thunder_pen_princess) - I enjoyed drawing this tired and serious dragon, especially the horns and tail! Eldrine (@scarlet_.x3) - Great colors and design, I love the gold fur and brown wings together! Storm (ArtFight User Shadow_Dragon993) - The colors were one of my favorites and the lightning-laced flames were really cool to incorporate! These characters were wonderful to work on, thank you everyone who participated this year! If you haven't checked out Part 1 yet, please go give it a look on my profile (post before this one!) 🐉🎨🐲New ArtFight attack! This one is for @goldstrike_art of their OC Caracara! I really liked drawing this character! The color palette was a lot of fun and I especially loved the orange-yellow gradients. Originally I planned to draw a halfbody, but noticed too late that I forgot to make room for legs. So, it's a bust (tbf I don't know if this could have been a halfbody but I already uploaded the attack so no changing it). Caracara's pink was a color that I rarely work with, but after seeing the results I might use it more! This OC was a lot of fun and I only wish I had time to make a larger drawing of her.
