POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As our community has been navigating the complex emotional journey of dealing with an unprecedented war this month while preparing to observe our most significant cultural heritage celebrations marking our new year - NOWRUZ- On March 10, 2026, the board of supervisors of the city of San Francisco, unanimously voted to designate March 2026 as the Iranian American Heritage Month.

This first ever designation in the entire country, was introduced by Supervisor @mattdorseysf & was made possible with full support of Mayor @danielluriesf

Once again our city proved that we stand with communities despite the politics of the day.

WE FINALLY BELONG IN THE HISTORY OF THIS MAGNIFICENT CITY WE PROUDLY CALL HOME.

Thank you to the organizing committee, our key note speakers and @iawfoundation for sponsoring this historic event.

Spent a beautiful morning in community with other Bay Area moms who are each so inspiring 💫 thank you @katiehintzzambrano for being a magical dot connector and bringing us together @mey_berkeley It was my fist Nowruz observance and a memory I will treasure forever

The tea was scrumptious, my latte INCREDIBLE, and the bites were really special (they offer catering and the owner is Persian so bookmark this!).

Thanks to everyone I met today or heard from when we did our little intros. You’ve filled my cup 💞

We are living in a time when every story from home feels like another crack in the heart.
These are not headlines to us. they are real people, real lives, real grief.
And yet, each morning we tie our aprons, open the doors, and step into the day as if life is ordinary.
If you sense a quiet or a shadow in us, please be gentle.
For many Iranians, simply moving through these days takes a strength we never asked for.

Here’s my long delayed annual post sharing the silliness and camaraderie of what goes on behind-the-scenes of Let Her Sing. From rehearsals in the East Bay to the concerts in SF and LA, I maintain gratitude at all times knowing that I get to be a part of this community of advocates that uplift incredible talent from regions where women’s voices are censored, and giving them a platform to let the world see their souls through song and music.

Special thanks to @golshidmola @alangooshop for the incredible gold statement piece for my LA outfit.

Let Her Sing 2025 Presented by Diaspora Arts Connection. Until next year 🧡.
