My name is Marlon and I’m a good boy!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Had to share, even though it's late 😅

Our pawliday shoot went a little differently this time, but we're so glad with how it turned out and all the friends that stopped by!

Not only did our cat Stitch get to come by and meet Mrs. Clause - but we also had two other people bring their cats by!

Thank you so much @mrsclausnyc for joining us for this fun little project! We can't wait to cook up something fun for this year Photo shared by Pet Photography | Animal Care | New York on January 28, 2026 tagging @votawann, @furryfiends207, and @mrsclausnyc. May be an image of text.

What a surprise having six (two are still in the hall) @nypd officers walking up to the fifth floor to say “Hi” to @good_boy_marlon !! At almost 10:30pm no less!!

He was so happy to have friends just before both of our bedtimes…

Apparently the @nypd got their intel wrong and sent not one, not two, but six officers to our apartment around 10:20pm (how were those stairs??) because someone complained about a woman “being disruptive.” Marlon and I were home alone (@steinbergingit is in MA, and I can’t imagine her being disruptive enough to warrant six @nypd officers, no matter how much I screwed up!) and we were having fun packing (though not in his eyes).

Calliope Brass has been a little quiet this month, but Calliope members are still doing things, such as forcing other Calliope members to listen to audition excerpts. Please enjoy this charming post-excerpt hang.

(Marlon was not a fan of the excerpts, either because he had to be in a different room or because Sara needs to practice more. Or both!)

From the last little bit, when I (or someone else) thought to pull out a camera (phone).

With the benefit concert approaching, it's time to take a closer look at this year's raffle items! All the prizes in today's post can only be won if you at the benefit concert in person. We don't have a shipping budget, so if you aren't there to take it home, it's going to someone else.

You have been warned.

1. Good Boy Marlon's Limoncello! It's a benefit concert tradition and it's back once again. Handmade by Rebecca's husband Owen and featuring the Best Boy as mascot, the winner will receive two bottles.

2. Handmade crocheted afghan! Another benefit concert tradition, handmade by Erin just in time to keep out the fall chill.

3. Lancaster gift basket! Yet another benefit concert tradition, this is a selection of goodies from Lancaster, PA assembled by Calliope trumpet emeritus Kate.

4. Captain Lawrence Brewing gift bag! Includes a t-shirt, growler (with one free re-fill from their brewery!), pint glass, shot glass, and sticker.

5. Le Creuset pot! A two quart, heart-shaped cocotte made of enameled cast iron, this pot is both adorable and functional. If you know Le Creuset, you know how good this one is.

Tickets are available at calliopebrass.org/raffle (link in bio). Come back tomorrow for more!

It's the last set of raffle prizes! Unlike the others, these cannot be shipped, and so you must be at the concert to enter to win. You get a whole concert and reception out of the deal, so it's totally worth it.

1. Good Boy Marlon's Limoncello! Yes, the prize that everyone's been waiting for. The winner will receive two bottles of limoncello, made with love by Rebecca and Owen and endorsed by the Best of Boys.

2. Captain Lawrence Brewing gift bag! You will win a gift bag from Captain Lawrence Brewing that's so exclusive even we're not sure what it contains. If you like beer, you'll probably like this.

3. Lancaster Gift Basket! Another benefit concert tradition, this is a basket of treats from Lancaster, PA that has been assembled by our own Kate Umble Smucker.

4. Handmade blanket! It's still in progress, but if you remember last year's blanket that @erinplayshorn crocheted with her own hands, this is your chance to get your own hands on another one.

Stay tuned tomorrow for silent auction details, and as always, go to calliopebrass.org/benefit (link in bio) to get your concert tickets.

The benefit concert is quickly approaching, which means it's time to start talking about raffle items! Everything in this group can be enjoyed regardless of location and can be shipped anywhere.

1. A @robinsons_remedies gift pack! Seen here with Marlon AKA The Best Model is an assortment of lip and skin care products used by musicians from all over (including several Calliope members). You'll get: two tubes of Lip Renew, two of Lip Recovery, and one Skin Repair ($75 value!). If you make music with your face, you'll want to check this one out.

2. A yoga class with @kateplaystrumpet! On Zoom or in person (provided you're willing to travel to Lancaster), alone or with friends, you could win one free class from our trumpet emeritus who also happens to be a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and a 2016 graduate of Create Karma yoga teacher training.

3. A custom letterhead informal stationery set from Jeanette Pidi Design! If you've ever wanted personalized "From The Desk Of ___" cards, this is the prize for you. You can see more examples of Jeanette's work at jeanettepididesign.com.

4. A signed Replica Lithographed Photo featuring New York Jets Wide Receiver Garrett Wilson! It comes with a hologram authentication decal and is an official licensed product by the @NFL and NFLPA. That's right, we finally have a raffle prize for all the @nyjets fans out there. We honestly don't know where else you would get this (it is definitely not available in stores), so if you're a Jets fan you'll want to keep an eye on it.

5. One month of the "Classic Plush Box" from @barkbox! It'll contain 2 plush toys, 2 bags of treats, and 1 surprise item. It’s also customizable based on the dog’s size and known allergies. Friends with smaller fluffier friends will want this one.

Raffle tickets are now available at calliopebrass.org/raffle (link in bio)! There are more fabulous prizes still to come, so watch this space.
