When Intrusive thoughts kick in...!

A stylized, slightly exaggerated impression of @charlyclive from Rooster @hbomax
I could relate to the impulsivity and raw nature of her character on the show

This is my very first attempt at keyframe animation, let alone facial animation!
It was fun and challenging to stylize and break away from the reference, especially with her hands.

Fun fact: Most of my time in these 50 frames was spent on the 5-frame transition of interlocked hands to peace signs.

@scadfash in Atlanta asked us to enhance archival footage for their exhibition “Imane Ayissi: From Africa to the World”. @imane_ayissi creations were isolated from past runway shows using bespoke rotoscope and compositing techniques. @pixelsorter.studio was used for transitions and @topazlabs was used for slow motion and 4K upscaling.

We worked with director @mrtomsic to enhance reenactments of true tales from the sunshine state. In total we completed 120 shots that featured our favorite comedians in this outrageous series executive produced by Danny McBride.

Today is November 28, 2023… and it’s #givingtuesday! This afternoon, I spent three or so hours walking around Cabbagetown, doing little *tour* snippets about the Mill and the Mill Village history. The videos are all now saved as "reels" on our Instagram site. Check 'em out... they're the best videos ever shot ever! Highest quality! Peerless! And then, please, please, please head over to our campaign and donate a little cabbage: https://www.gagives.org/organization/Patch-Works-Art-And-History-Center

ON SATURDAY, MAY 6TH, 2023

The Patch Works Art & History Center is excited to be joining the Georgia Historical Society in revealing a new Historical State Marker that celebrates the lasting impact made by Jacob Elsas and Fulton Bag & Cotton Mills.

The ceremony will be held on Carroll Street, just outside the back gate of The Stacks at Fulton Cotton Mill. The event is "rain or shine," so please check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.

The schedule is as follows:

10:30am - Venue Opens
10:45am - Live music
11:30am - Guest Speakers
12:30pm - Ceremony Ends
1:00pm - Venue Closes

Guest Speakers are:

• David Mitchell, Executive Director of the Atlanta Preservation Center.
• Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari.
• Elyse Butler from the Georgia Historical Society.
• Sanna Root and Claire Wiggill from The Mill community.
• Alan Elsas, who spearheaded the effort to obtain the marker.
• Hugh Asher, who will represent his father, the late Thomas Asher, who provided essential research for the marker application but sadly passed away at the end of December 2022.

Carroll Street and Tennelle Street will be closed to traffic from Shelton Street to Powell Street, so please consider taking an alternative mode of transportation to the event. If driving, you may park in Agave Restaurant's parking lot (off of Boulevard) until 3:30pm. Please park to the right side of the lot and away from the restaurant itself, so as not to obstruct delivery vehicles. The address is 242 Boulevard SE Atlanta, Georgia 30312.

Please contact The Patch Works if you have any questions:
