Day 30–45 of #DoingGood…because LIFE WAS LIFE-ING! 😂

I know I’ve been missing, but trust me, Good was STILL doing a lot!

And speaking of that, we’re officially changing the name of this series to #DoingGood. Same Good. Same crazy life. Just a bigger picture behind it all.

Now let’s catch up! 😂

🎂 My baby girl celebrated her birthday at the Dwarf House!

❤️ My blood pressure is still looking good! Celebrating those health wins!

💃🏾 My oldest had her dance recital! She’s been flipping around the house driving us CRAZY, but seeing her on stage was a PROUD DAD MOMENT! She KILLED IT!

⚾️ My Braves beat the Phillies in the Wild Card Series but fell to the Dodgers in the NLDS. 😭

🥶 One vending machine froze over, and another blew a fuse. Because apparently my machines can’t just WORK. 😂

🎙️ Recorded a couple episodes of Black Men Think and THREE episodes of No Buffer Podcast!

💔 One of my best vending locations called to say corporate was moving in another direction. Just like that, I have to remove FOUR machines. That one hurt. But that’s entrepreneurship. Adjust and keep moving!

🎶 And Den Music Fest kicks off October 10th in LOS ANGELES! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes!

So yeah…birthdays, dance recitals, health wins, baseball, vending headaches, podcasts and music festivals.

Good Be Doing A Lot…But More Importantly, Good Is Doing Good.

This series isn’t about being busy. It’s about building a life I love, embracing the wins AND setbacks, and enjoying the journey.

Welcome to #DoingGood! ❤️

Look…I KNOW I missed a couple days.

CHILL. 😂

Life was life-ing, but Good was definitely still doing a lot.

First of all…look at this vending machine.

COMPLETELY SOLD OUT. 😳

That’s the kind of problem we like to have. 😂

Then the kids started GOLF LESSONS! ⛳️❤️ And I might be more excited about this than they are. I’m trying not to be that golf dad…but no promises.

The No Buffer crew also got out of the studio and hit Bon Ton here in Atlanta before they close. Food was 🔥, our waitress held us down, and whoever was controlling that playlist knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

Then we went upstairs and found the ’70s-themed shag room…

Yeah. 😂

Just go experience it while you still can.

Speaking of golf, I tried out a new course in Locust Grove—Heron Bay.

Beautiful course.

My game?

We’ll discuss that another day. 😭😂 Definitely gotta run that one back.

I’ve also been putting some work into taking better care of myself, and I’m happy with the progress I’m seeing. 💪🏾

And because this recap apparently wasn’t random enough…

Did I ever tell y’all about the time I got scammed out of like $600?! 😭

I told the whole story on The No Buffer Podcast…

And YES, I still have the fake money to prove it. 😂💵

Vending machines.
Golf lessons.
Good food.
More golf.
Taking care of myself.
And apparently counterfeit money.

This is exactly why this series is called #DoingGood. 😂

I may have missed a few days of posting…

but I definitely didn’t stop living.

We’re back. ✅

Day 28 of #DoingGood and of course we started at my favorite store…Costco. 😂

And before y’all ask—NO, that’s not everything we bought. 😭

Loaded up and headed to the first vending location where I was met with a little surprise…

The Coke machine that was sitting beside mine—and DIDN’T belong to me—was GONE. 👀

So apparently we have no more competition.

At least for now. 😂

Next location?

EMPTY.

I took last week off to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our anniversary, and clearly the customers did NOT take the week off from buying snacks and drinks. 😂

Can’t complain about that!

Finished the route, made it back home and apparently somebody forgot to tell me I opened a wildlife preserve.

Not one…

but TWO TURKEYS just casually hanging out in my backyard. 🦃🦃

I swear I have a whole zoo back there. 😂

Then it was time to switch gears and head to the studio to record The No Buffer Podcast.

And apparently the real competition today wasn’t at the vending location…

It was me vs. Big Sant in the Hoochie Daddy Shorts Championship. 😭😂

Meanwhile Chiane pulled up looking like Beyoncé and made both of us look ridiculous anyway. 😂

Costco ➡️ Vending ➡️ No competition ➡️ Sold-out machines ➡️ Backyard turkeys ➡️ Hoochie Daddy shorts.

Yeah…

Good still be doing a lot.

Day 21 of #DoingGood and today started with a little vending mystery. 🕵🏾‍♂️😂

Stopped by one of my locations and noticed sales were unusually low.

Checked the machines. Everything was powered on. Products were stocked. Nothing obvious stood out as the problem.

So for now…we monitor. 👀

That’s part of running a business too. Sometimes there isn’t an immediate answer. You pay attention to the numbers, look for patterns and figure out whether it’s a bad week or something that actually needs to change.

Next up…the CAR WASH. 🚗🧼

I have two young kids.

That’s all I’m gonna say.

Parents…IYKYK. 😭😂

After getting the car back to a somewhat respectable condition, I managed to squeeze in a quick 9 holes. ⛳️ Because apparently golf has officially become part of my #DoingGood self-care plan.

And THEN I switched gears again.

I recently started a new series called “Things I’ve Told My Rapper Homies…But They Don’t Listen.” 🎤😂

I’ve spent a lot of years around independent artists, and there’s a LOT of information I’ve shared behind the scenes that could help more artists.

So instead of continuing to tell the same homies who won’t listen…I’m telling y’all. 😂

Vending ➡️ Dad duties ➡️ Golf ➡️ Helping artists.

Yeah…Good still be doing a lot.

Day 19 of #DoingGood started on the vending route and ended at the ballpark. ⚾️

First stop was my newest vending location, where we’re still learning what works. Made a few changes to the drink selection, so now we wait and see what the customers tell us. 👀

That’s one thing I’ve learned in vending: the customers will always tell you what they want…you just have to pay attention to what they’re buying.

Then it was off to my busiest location—a warehouse where ENERGY DRINKS and sports drinks are king. 😂⚡️

Celsius, Monster and anything that’ll help folks make it through that shift…they’re here for it.

Once the work was done, it was time for family. ❤️

Ended the day at the Braves game with the crew. We had some GREAT seats…

There was just one small problem.

THE SUN. ☀️😭

That thing was pointed DIRECTLY at us for what felt like five straight innings. 😂 Great seats apparently come with complimentary roasting.

Still, vending handled. Family time. Baseball. Good day.

That’s what #DoingGood looks like sometimes, handle the business so you can enjoy the life you’re building around it.

Day 17 of #DoingGood was all about getting ahead…or at least trying to. 😂

Started the day scheduling some posts for the week because apparently creating the content isn’t enough…you gotta actually POST it too. 😂📱

Then I switched over to editing mode for No Buffer Podcast and worked on our latest Patreon episode of What We Watching, where we broke down Episode 4 of Lioness.

If you’re watching along with us, the full episode is up on Patreon now. 🎙️📺

And because I can’t stay in one lane for too long, I wrapped things up with some shopping for the vending machines to get ready for another week.

Content planning ➡️ Podcast editing ➡️ Vending inventory.

Not every #DoingGood day is going to have a broken machine, a golf course or some big moment.

Sometimes it’s just doing the behind-the-scenes work today that makes the rest of the week a little easier.

Day 14 of #DoingGood and today had a little bit of everything.

Started the morning in the gym 💪🏾 before heading out to hit two vending locations.

First stop was the same location where I recently had to replace the power cord on my combo machine. Happy to report…everything is STILL running smoothly. 😂🙌🏾

Next up was one of my senior living locations, and I’ve learned something interesting about this spot:

They LOVE cash. 😂💵

Most of my locations lean heavily toward card payments, but here? That card reader doesn’t get nearly as much action. Just another reminder that every vending location is different and you have to pay attention to how YOUR customers actually buy.

Plus we announced the dates for @denmusicfest!

Then the night took me somewhere I haven’t been in almost 20 YEARS…

@cascadeskate 🛼

We came out to celebrate recent No Buffer Podcast guest Jack Freeman and the release of his new single “Me and You,” produced by the legendary Bryan-Michael Cox. 🎶

Going back to Cascade after all these years definitely brought back some memories.

Gym ➡️ Vending ➡️ More vending ➡️ Festival Announcements ➡️ Skating rink ➡️ Supporting good music.

Another reminder that #DoingGood isn’t just about getting work done. Sometimes it’s about showing up for people too.

Day 13 of #DoingGood…and yeah, today took a lot out of me. 😮‍💨

Five vending machine locations. In one day.

Restocking, loading, unloading, driving, checking inventory, fixing the little things that come up along the way…and then doing it all over again at the next stop. 😂

One of today’s stops was my Health & Beauty machine at a local college, and with the school year getting started, it’s time to see what the students actually need and what products are going to move this semester.

By the time I finished the route, I was DONE.

But apparently not done enough. 😂

Made it home, got behind the computer and edited the latest episode of The No Buffer Podcast, which is OUT NOW. 🎙️💻

I’m learning something from documenting these days:

Doing what you want to do with your life doesn’t mean every day is going to feel good.

Some days are exciting. Some days everything clicks.

And some days…the work is just WORK.

Today was one of those days.

But we got it done.

Day 12 of #DoingGood and we started the day on the vending route.

Hit two locations today, my best-performing location and my newest acquisition.

The new location is still very much in the testing phase. What sells? What doesn’t? What needs more space? What needs to get pulled?

That’s one thing vending has taught me: every location has its own personality. You can’t just copy and paste what works somewhere else and expect the same results.

Then we switched gears. 🎙️

Ended the night at The @NoBufferPodcast with special guest and author @t.yasmeen86 who came through to kick it with us and talk about her latest book, Keep It Between Us.

And since y’all are coming along for this #DoingGood journey, meet some of the people who help make No Buffer happen:

🎙️ @chianexo
🎙️ @bigsant
📸 @blctxt — behind the camera making us look good
🎛️ Producer @h_imperial763 — who also owns @livehiphopdaily

One thing I’m realizing while documenting all of this is that Doing Good isn’t something I’m doing by myself.

There’s a whole group of talented people I get to build, create and work alongside.

Vending during the day. Podcasting at night.

Day 10 of #DoingGood and unfortunately…I kept my promise. 😂

Yesterday I cut the front yard and said the backyard was tomorrow’s problem.

Well…tomorrow showed up. 😭

Finished cutting the backyard AND picked up all the tree limbs left behind from the recent storm.

Side note: whoever decided we needed this many trees on this property…I just wanna talk. 😂🌳

Once the yard work was finally done, it was time to switch into business mode.

I started prepping for the vending week by checking inventory, figuring out what holes I need to fill, and most importantly…seeing what’s ON SALE. 😂 Because buying smart is just as important as selling.

Then I finished the day switching hats one more time and recording an episode of Mommas & Manis for my wife. 🎙️

Yard work ➡️ Vending prep ➡️ Podcasting with wifey.

Nothing glamorous. Just taking care of what needs to be taken care of.

And I’m starting to realize that’s really what #DoingGood is about.

Building businesses. Taking care of home. Making time for family. And figuring it all out as I go.

Day 8 of Good Be Doing A Lot and remember that broken power cord from yesterday?

WE BACK! 😂🙌🏾

Shoutout to @grainger for helping me source the power cord locally. Instead of waiting 3–4 days for shipping, I was able to get what I needed, head back to the location and get the combo machine powered up and running smoothly again. 💪🏾

Crisis handled. Now…golf. 😂⛳️

Made my way over to @johnawhitegc and actually played pretty well today.

And yup…that was a nice little par you just saw. 😂🏌🏾‍♂️

After the round, met up with wifey for a quick lunch date at @kulabowlsatl before switching gears AGAIN and ending the night recording a new episode of @bmtpod. 🎙️

Vending machine technician ➡️ Golfer ➡️ Lunch date ➡️ Podcaster.

This might be the most Good Be Doing A Lot day yet. 😂

Day 7 of Good Be Doing A Lot and apparently vending machines just want to keep testing me this week. 😂

Got to my first location and noticed my combo machine had NO power. After doing some troubleshooting, I finally figured out the problem, the power cord failed.

Easy fix…except the replacement is going to take 3–4 DAYS to get here. 🤦🏾‍♂️

But I think I found another solution. 👀

Y’all gotta come back tomorrow to see if it works. 😂

From there, I headed to the next vending location for a quick restock before finally making my way home.

Then it was time to switch gears completely. 🌱

Got out in the garden and officially accepted defeat on my tomatoes this year. 😂 They didn’t produce nearly as much as I hoped, and I suspect I didn’t have enough pollinators around the garden.

So I pulled the tomato plants, cleaned out the weeds and started getting everything ready for the fall garden.

Some things worked today. Some things didn’t.

Either way, we adjust and keep it moving.
