The no bullsh!t guide to eating out in Cardiff 🍝
A non-exhaustive list of some of the best food spots in the city. All independent, many family owned, all delicious. And none of them paid to be on said list unlike some guides you'll find online 👀

I'm intending to make this a multi-part series with categories like bakeries, brunches, halal food spots, and more coming soon!

Let me know if I missed anyone and which category I should cover next

(also I maxed out my amount of tags oops)

National Burger Day calls for a proper burger 🍔

From smashed patties and dry-aged beef to loaded fries and indulgent munchie boxes, these South Wales spots are serving some seriously good burgers.

Which one are you trying first? 👀

📍Goodbgr Cardiff @goodbgr_

This place gets it right! I chose the Just Jammin Beef burger which was stacked and saucy — juicy double patties, layers of melted cheese, that sweet chilli kick, and the perfect amount of mess topped with haloumi. Every bite hit just right 🤌🏻 (I couldn’t wait to take a bite out of it)

And the Inferno Fries? Unreal. Spicy, creamy, and full of flavour the combo of crispy fries, sauce, turkey bacon and jalapeños was addictive. Easily one of the best loaded fries I’ve had! (You can also opt for a less spicer version of these fries)

Everything came hot, fresh, and packed with flavour. Delivery took slightly long but expected for such good quality flavour.

🍔🔥 If you haven’t tried goodbgr yet, you’re seriously missing out. Can’t wait to try how their chicken burgers are 👀

GOODBGR Cardiff 🍔🔥

Been meaning to check this one for a while and it lives up to the hype. We went for a proper spread – Bad & Boujiee, Raging Bull, and Smokey, plus Fries and Inferno Fries for sides 👀

🍗 Bad & Boujiee £10.50 – crispy buttermilk chicken thigh stacked with cheese, lettuce, pickles, garlic mayo and a sweet chilli kick. Juicy, crunchy, and straight-up elite.

🐂 Raging Bull £10.50 - double beef, double cheese, caramelised onions, house sauce, lettuce, and pickles. Messy, rich, and one for the serious burger fans.

🔥 Smokey £10.50 – beef patty with American cheese, smoked turkey bacon, BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and pickles. That sweet-smoky balance hits just right.

The Inferno Fries (£5.50) bring serious heat too – loaded with spicy sauce, jalapeños and some proper flavour. Crisp fries, stacked toppings, no stingy portions either 🙌

Top-tier Cardiff burger spot - flavour, texture, and presentation all on point.

🍔 𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙮!

GOODBGR has become one of our absolute faves, and for good reason📍

This time I went for the TRFLBGR — stacked with American cheese, truffle mayo, caramelised onion chutney, turkey bacon bits, crispy onions & pickles. Honestly… unreal 🤌🏼

Another go-to of ours is the Just Jammin’ — American cheese, chipotle mayo, turkey bacon, grilled halloumi & sweet chilli jam. A must-try if you haven’t already! 🔥

Oh, and don’t even get me started on their milkshakes 🥤🤩 — super thick, creamy, and the perfect sweet finish to go with those burgers!

Every time we visit, the food is consistently amazing and the staff are always so friendly — can’t recommend this place enough! 🙌🏼

Cardiff’s best BURGERS 😍🤤

@goodbgr_ has been the talk of town since opening in Cardiff and we love our burgers so had to check them out! They hand press their burgers which is very rare to find.

Our favourite had to be the “Just Jammin Beef” – layered with American cheese, smoked turkey bacon, chipotle sauce, grilled halloumi, and sweet chili jam.

The buns are baked fresh daily, all sauces are made in-house—Ranch, garlic-Parmesan, and especially honey mustard.

Defo a spot you guys have to check out!
