With the recent retro of the Jordan 9, I thought I’d do a tribute to my man @bobbykicks_kickstory , one half of @kickstorypodcast with @gotee_kickstory! Me and Bobby have a lot in common but I know the 9 is special to him so I laid out my pairs and some original gear (that he loves too). Need to ask @iamkenblack about some of the stuff that came out between the 8’s and 9’s… always has been a little grey area in Jordan apparel for me. Name another Small foot collector that does it better.🫡 STILL CANT BELIEVE I HAVE THESE IN MY COLLECTION Quick back story: So wifey saw a sneakercon video of the one girlfriend who bought her BF the Air Mags for 15K just cause.. My Wifey in turn found my sneaker Plug, contacted him and made a deal to get me one of my Grails. She told me hey it aint 15K for some shoes but damn it the ticket was high enough lmao. Long story short, get you a spouse that supports ur passions and things just cause it makes you happy. Right now im happier than a MF Shout out to my Baby. Back to individual posts! I had somewhat forgotten about my beloved Icarus models, so let’s show some love to one of my favorites. Today we have the 1991 Air Icarus—the original and very first. It features simpler patterns than its predecessors, as always, there is beauty in simplicity, though I have to say I still prefer the Extra (you already know). This model is an Asian market exclusive, In the White/Pink Foil-Black colorway. An interesting detail about this version: in the Asian region, the tongue is blue, (slide 1) whereas the same colorway features a white tongue in the European version (Slide 11/12). The same applies to the hee area, blue in Asia, and white in Eu. and the US. It features the standard materials we’re already familiar with. A Phylon midsole, and a combo of Polypag, nylon mesh and suede on the uppers. Some brochures even classify it as a cheaper version of the Air Craft another model from '91. This colorway somehow reminds me of the Huaraches and the Air Flows from '89 as well. This was an  unexpected find from last year during one of those late-night hunts. They were in near-DS(VNDS) condition. After a good cleaning and repainting the Swoosh, they looked spotless. They also came with the original box, and all for just €20, if I recall correctly.
