If you had the opportunity to meet us June 20th at the soft opening, let us give our deepest gratitude. The energy was high, the crowd was warm, the weather was inviting. The heavens opened up just to give sun just for us. It was magnificent.

Together, we built a grow box, transplanted strawberries, learned about pollination, and my goodness so much more. The prayer and meditation circle, gave us something strong and solid to come back to.

For each face we saw and hand we held, thank you. Your presence was needed.

Don't pour water on the revolution out of fear. Let it burn. Teach the young and they will take it further than we ever could.

We are standing in solidarity with others doing this revolutionary work. So long as we have breath, we have to male sure everyone eats. It's all in our hands.

When you know better you do better, right? Just like the hundreds of other folks in the community working to make material change, we want to work with you to build a new way of feeding our families.

Education is the first step to changing your reality. Let's learn something new.

This week has been a challenge to our imaginations. We are creating new systems and making big (and necessary) asks of our community, neighbors, and local government. Our network has aligned us with land owners who want to join in this work and are giving us space to expand. We are moving with intention, excited to share the future with you.

We have been sold a fantasy of what the world is and some have forgotten how to dream of what can be. Instead of shouldering the burden of inaction and passivity, we are attempting to change our surroundings from the soil up.

What are you commiting to changing?

The universe and our community has been supportive in meeting the needs of the Moon Garden. So much has been donated thag we have to be grateful for. As we piece together this project bit by bit, if you have it to give, we will accept donations with purpose and gratitude.

So far we are in search of cut logs for seating, pallet boxes to repurpose, mulching material, paint, and lumber.

Thank you for continuing to support this project. How can the community support you? Tell us what you are in search of so the community can find solutions for your needs as well.

What has been one of the most profound mental breakthroughs you have experienced? How has it shaped the ideology you have now?

For us, one of the most profound has been addressing the ways we are enslaved. We set an intention to seek the loyalties we unwittingly nurse that keep us in bondage. As @peoplesoracle would say.... we start by decolonizing our imagination.

Speak up in the comments. Let us hear from you.

We have broken ground on our first garden project in Albany, GA. The Moon Garden will be operational in June for our neighbors to pick fresh produce, learn about agriculture, and eat great food.

We are open for donations as every dollar will help to feed our neighbors with locally grown good food. Cashtag and PayPal link in the bio!

2020 made raw and exposed many of the insufficiencies in US society. Many of these issues we’ve been engaging with for years. At a certain point you realize the onus for change lays in the hands of the people, not the politicians.

Thanks for joining us on this journey. Find out how you can get involved with preventing food insecurity, educational neglect, and preventable disease in your community. Get to know the Growth Solution.

Through targeted placement and collaboration, Amethyst & Moonstone is dedicated to reimagining with our community the institutions of food, wealth, health, and education.

Help us sow these seeds.
