If you know me at all, you know @jiveturkeydive is home base. No matter what kind of week it’s been, walking through these doors just feels like exhale—the music is always dialed, the drinks are solid, and the room is full of genuine people who actually give a damn. It just feels like home every single time I’m here.

Spent the night playing sneaky photographer in the corner, catching the energy while everyone celebrated their 2-year anniversary the only right way: cold drinks and fresh ink. Massive love to @kissyboyjake and @cwstattoos from @downtowntattoolasvegas for laying down killer flash all night.

Some transformations deserve more than a before-and-after photo.

I spent two days documenting @rod_befit_dancin first haircut in 11 years, capturing every emotion and every moment leading up to—and following—the big change.

Taking the new camera to the track led to meeting this young athlete training for the Junior Olympics in the 400m. She’s currently chasing a 1:05 goal and has that “just don’t stop” mindset that makes for a great story to document.
It is always interesting how a quick stop to test out gear turns into a conversation with someone working toward something big. Whether it is track or something else entirely, everyone has a goal they are locked into.

Shot the women’s boxing class at @dauntless_boxing on Sunday and the energy in the room was great.

Women in boxing are just built different. The resilience, the grit, the willingness to push through a round even when they’re tired. It’s strong, supportive, and honestly just fun to watch and photograph.

It’s also cool to see the gentlemen who own the gym. Two of them are people I met when I first moved to Vegas, back when they were just grinding and training like everyone else. Seeing that journey go from putting in the work at the gym to opening their own place is pretty awesome.

Women’s class on Sunday at noon. Gloves on, music up, learning, pushing, and getting stronger together.

There’s a strange kind of confusion that happens when you evolve.

I built something as Bleached Blonde. It had energy. It had momentum. It was right for that season. Now I’m growing out the brown, leaning into my real name, and realizing I’m not actually leaving anything behind.

I’m integrating it.

Being a DJ and a photographer can feel like living two different lives. One is loud and late and full of movement. The other is quiet, intentional, and observant. Some days I wonder when you’re supposed to put one version of yourself down and fully pick another one up.

But maybe that’s the wrong question.

I’m not becoming someone new. I’m becoming who God created me to be.
