POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

4 out of the last 5 years, I’ve been to the Tallahassee Film Festival. I’ve seen work made by friends, I’ve helped on projects that screened, and I even wrote and directed a TFF ad that played on the Challenger IMAX.
⠀
Since I started this filmmaking journey, it’s been a goal of mine to make something I’m proud of and to finally attend TFF as a filmmaker.
⠀
WELL MISSION ACCOMPLISHED MOTHERF*****S! WE DID IT!
⠀
AFTERLIFE is an official selection of the 2026 Tallahassee Film Festival!

Platonic Pile, 20 minute duration, 2019 (Pre Pandemic) - Thinking about touch and how at certain points in the last few months I almost had a breakdown because I couldn’t remember the last time I experienced human touch and I didn’t know when the next time would be. I remember growing up one of my best friends and her mom would always kiss on the lips and snuggle and it always made me uncomfortable because I couldn’t relate. Thinking about why I’m so sad and I just really value passionate love. Yes, of course the enduring love, the responsible, crucial love that makes you drive 3 hours to pick someone up or listen to their problems or lend them $300 but I want a life filled also with passionate love. Or what’s the point? I need the holding, the tickling, the wrestling, the spooning, the slapping, the hair playing, the kissing. The mix of patriarchy, monogamy, heteronormativity, isolation and taboo of platonic love and affection creates a mean batch of bullshit... An unsatisfying life, a life that makes you want to log in to Tinder just to be touched by someone who may not give a fuck about you and may even harm you. I don’t want to wait for the next serial monogamous relationship, start all over again with the vulnerability process to be able to have intimacy. I want intimacy with my friends. I need it.
