23 years together. 15 years married. A whole life built in between. 🩵

I was 18 and Charles was 19 when we found each other back in 2003. We became parents at 21 and 22, and somehow, through all the growing up, raising babies, building a family, chasing dreams, changing seasons and just LIFE… here we are.

And the craziest part is, I still feel like that 18 year old girl sometimes. 🥹 I still get butterflies when I spot him in a crowd. I still get excited when he walks through the door. I still look forward to our date nights, our little adventures and surprise picnics on the beach like we just started dating.

Our anniversary was actually June 29, but this year has been such a whirlwind that we’re just now getting the chance to really slow down and celebrate it. And maybe that’s part of what 23 years together teaches you. Life gets busy. Seasons change. Responsibilities grow. But through it all, we will always find our way back to US.

15 years married and 23 years loving you… and somehow, I’d still pick you out of every crowd. Every single time. 🩵

When I think about our life lately, I can’t help but cry. 🥹 You make me feel so much love that sometimes it hurts.

What a privilege it is that we get to do this life together. We get to raise these babies together. We get to wake up next to each other every morning and fall asleep beside each other every night.

You are the most amazing homie, lover, and friend I could have ever imagined. Through every season, every challenge, every victory, and every ordinary day, I am grateful that I get to share it all with you.

I look forward to continuing to grow old together. I look forward to the day when we’re sitting on our front porch in our rocking chairs, watching the sunset while our 36 grandbabies (God willing 😊) run around the yard making memories of their own.

And when that day comes, I hope we look back on moments like these and know that we built something beautiful. We shared a beautiful life. We created a beautiful family. We loved each other well.
