POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Greetings from the balcony of the University of San Francisco’s downtown campus at 101 Howard Street, where I’m pursuing my Master of Public Administration (MPA)! 🎓📚

I’m Pearci “PJ” Bastiany III, candidate for District 10 Supervisor, martial artist, entrepreneur, and community advocate. I’m excited to bring my public administration studies and research into the work of solving real problems facing San Francisco.

From affordable housing and public safety to economic development, transportation, and environmental justice, I believe our city’s challenges deserve thoughtful research, innovative solutions, and community-driven leadership.

And sometimes, the best inspiration comes from simply taking a moment to appreciate the world around us. 🌿✨ With the Bay Bridge as my backdrop, some of my favorite sightings from this balcony are the hummingbirds and dragonflies reminding me to slow down, stay curious, and appreciate the beauty of our city.

San Francisco has so much potential. I’m excited to keep learning, researching, and working toward a future where our communities can thrive.

Public service meets public administration. Research meets real-world solutions. Let’s build a better San Francisco—together! 🌉💙

🎥 REAL QUESTIONS. REAL CONVERSATIONS. YOUR VOICE. YOUR VOTE. 🗳️🔥
Sharing clips from my answers at the District 10 Candidate Forum hosted by Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) and 3rd Street Youth Clinic at the Southeast Community Center!

As we approach Election Day on November 3, I’m proud to reflect on this campaign journey and the opportunities to discuss the future of District 10 with community members.

As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., one principle continues to resonate with me:

🗳️ “A VOTELESS PEOPLE IS A HOPELESS PEOPLE.”

Civic engagement doesn’t end when the forum is over. It continues when we register, get informed, learn about the candidates and issues, and make our voices heard at the ballot box.

📬 Vote-by-mail ballots are arriving! Make a plan to vote, review your ballot, and return it according to the official instructions.

🗳️ RANKED-CHOICE VOTING 101:
San Francisco voters can rank candidates in order of their own preference in applicable ranked-choice contests:
🥇 Rank your first choice 1.
🥈 Rank another candidate 2 if that reflects your preference.
🥉 Rank another candidate 3 if you choose.

You can rank additional candidates if you wish. Ranking is your decision, so review the candidates and make the choices that best reflect your priorities.

Let’s make sure our communities are represented—not just in conversations, but at the ballot box!

FIRST OF ALL… WE VOTE! 🗳️✊🏾

🗳️ A VOTELESS PEOPLE IS A HOPELESS PEOPLE. 🗳️
As an Alpha, I believe deeply in the importance of civic engagement, voter education, and making sure our communities are represented at the ballot box. “A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People” has been an Alpha Phi Alpha national program since the 1930s.

📬 Vote-by-mail ballots are arriving this week.

San Francisco uses ranked-choice voting in several local races. When voting in a ranked-choice contest, voters can rank candidates 1st, 2nd, and 3rd based on their own choices.

So when your ballot arrives:

✅ Open it.
✅ Read the candidate statements and ballot materials.
✅ Make your choices.
✅ Rank your selections if you choose.
✅ Return your ballot or make a plan to vote in person.

Don’t sit this election out. Your voice belongs in the process.

First of All… We Vote. 🖤❤️
A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People.

🏗️⚓ REIMAGINING WATERFRONT HOUSING

San Francisco has a long maritime history — and our future housing solutions can draw inspiration from it.

MAFH is exploring the possibilities of modular and container-based housing, historic ship housing, and pontoon-based maritime housing as innovative approaches to expanding affordable, workforce, transitional, and community-oriented housing opportunities along our waterfront.

Imagine repurposed shipping containers transformed into efficient modular homes. 🚢🏠
Historic vessels restored and adaptively reused for housing, cultural, or community purposes. ⚓
And floating, pontoon-based housing concepts that make thoughtful use of underutilized maritime spaces while maintaining public access to the waterfront. 🌊

These ideas aren’t about replacing traditional housing — they’re about expanding the toolbox.

With thoughtful engineering, environmental review, maritime regulations, infrastructure, and community engagement, San Francisco can explore new ways to connect housing + jobs + transportation + waterfront revitalization.

From the shipyard to the shoreline, let’s think beyond the traditional four walls.

MAFH — Masters of Positive Action.

A podcaster’s plea: make politics boring again.

Independent US Senate candidate Seth Bodnar brings his impressive list of qualifications to Outlaw Beat — West Point valedictorian, Rhodes and Truman scholar, former Green Beret, GE executive, and the former president of the University of Montana. He's running against Republican Kurt Alme, Democrat Alani Bankhead, and Libertarian Kyle Austin for an open Montana Senate seat — and he says he won't caucus with either party.

Bodnar talks about the seat Steve Daines is leaving behind and doesn’t mince words about the way Daines is trying to hand it off… “It’s garbage.”

🌊 RECLAIMING DISTRICT 10’S WATERFRONT! ⚓️

San Francisco’s waterfront should be a place where people can work, build, create, launch, and thrive.

As Supervisor, I’ll fight to:

⚓️ Restore shipbuilding and maritime industries to District 10—bringing back skilled jobs and economic opportunity.

🚤 Expand public waterfront access with more places for residents to safely launch and enjoy watercraft.

🛥️ Create greater equity in boat docking access so our waterfront isn’t reserved only for those who can afford it.

🌬️ Invest in wind energy infrastructure and harness the power of our waterfront.

☀️ Expand solar energy infrastructure to create cleaner, more resilient communities and good-paying green jobs.

Our waterfront is an economic engine, an environmental asset, and a public resource. Let’s put it back to work for the people of District 10.

Build the waterfront. Power the future. Create opportunity.

📸 THE SHIPYARD. THE FUTURE OF DISTRICT 10.

Today I had the honor of doing my official campaign photoshoot with my father overlooking the historic Hunters Point Naval Shipyard — a place that represents both San Francisco’s complicated industrial past and an enormous opportunity for its future.

My campaign has called for canceling the existing Hunters Point Shipyard redevelopment plan and pursuing a different vision centered on environmental remediation, manufacturing, logistics, shipbuilding, clean energy, and good-paying jobs.

The current redevelopment framework envisions more than 10,000 homes at the Shipyard, while the city continues to grapple with the site’s contamination, cleanup, and long-delayed redevelopment.

There are currently 10 candidates listed in the District 10 Supervisor race, and voters will ultimately decide which vision they want represented at City Hall.

For me, this campaign is about asking a fundamental question:

What should Hunters Point Shipyard become?

A housing development?
A center for jobs and industry?
Or a new model that combines environmental restoration, economic development, housing, and community benefits?

That conversation deserves the attention of every District 10 voter.

The choice belongs to the voters of District 10 on November 3, 2026.
