Kaltstart 🧊🥶🩵
There couldn’t be a better word to describe our momentum at the start of this year. Cold start — but holding faith for warmer days with less ice in 2026.
HNY ✨
——
Kaltstart is one of those perfect German words: moments when systems — bodies, engines, cities, institutions — are forced to operate before they’re ready, energetically, socially, ecologically …
——
Forever grateful for this Brooklyn family, always up for Schabernack, keeping the fire alive through good and hard times.
Love you guys ❤️🔥🫶

Happy birthday to my love, @colinobikes! 🎉💖 To the king of APA 8 & 9 ball billiards matches, backgammon, pr marathons, tracking production with spreadsheets and graphs, planning fun roadtrips and beach adventures, dj of public radio, grill master, and scouting oyster shots in a maryland spirit. Wishing another incredible and fulfilling trip around the sun for this special Virgo, Greenpoint local, and compassionate, beautiful soul. ☀️✨

Amigos, amicos, amiguinhos round the fire, beneath the tree, napping in sweet hammock breeze. A gentle swim, full moon, sound of loons, curious turtle asking why we are in her spot, sunning on her rock, and sharing it, gently still.

So blessed to kick off the new year off with new love, my sister and new friends with amazing energy for our first exhilarating, soul-cleansing Polar Plunge at Coney Island! A currency of care. In space held, warm animal bodies, in bug poetry and food kneaded, planted, picked and baked by gentle humans. Cloud offerings, artistry in earth that can only be seen and never captured. To be held by land, hands, deep love, and to be reminded that the river always flows, even when the water has slowed.
