A 5K where the water stations are breweries. 🍺🏃

Nobody asked for this. Some of you trained for it anyway. And yet, here we are.

The 4th Annual Whittier Brew-levard 5K, a craft beer run down Whittier Blvd in Montebello and Pico Rivera, is THIS Saturday, October 24th.

Is it a race?
Is it a bar crawl with cardio?
Is drinking during a 5K medically advisable?
Yes. Maybe. Please hydrate.

Here’s how it works:
🏃 Run or walk 5K from Montebello to Pico Rivera & back
🍺 Stop at Angry Horse Brewing, Brewjeria + Alchemy Craft
👕 Get a shirt
🥇 Get a medal
💦 Drink some water so everyone can
pretend this is a legitimate athletic event
❤️ 100% of proceeds benefit Inclusive Action for the City’s LA Street Vendors Solidarity Fund. So technically, this is cardio for a cause.

Lace up the Cortez. Pull up the high socks. Stretch if you feel like it. We are all winners here.

The road and cold chelas await. Your knees have been formally notified.

📍 Starts at Angry Horse Brewing, 603 Whittier Blvd, Montebello
🗓️ Saturday, October 24 · 11AM
🎟️ Spots are limited. Link in bio to register or visit brewlevard5k.com

👯 Tag the friend who owes you a beer
Come run irresponsibly... responsibly.

Work and organizing the Boyle Heights 5K Run/Walk has been a bit stressful lately, but going on a 10-mile run after work helped clear my head. At the end of the day, we do this for our community, and it is rewarding to see so many local small businesses benefit from the event. It’s everyone behind the scenes family, friends, coworkers, and volunteers that make it happen.

I deeply appreciate all the supportive messages from local schools, parents, families, and runners. Bringing our community together is the reason I do this every year—Somos Boyle Heights.

What are you doing individually, as a team, as a community to get ready for this years @noshortcutstt ?

Tempo runs, track workouts, strength and conditioning: they all help. Let us know in the comments!

Thanks to @movalruns for the footage ❤️
