This 52 year old geezer decided to drive to Long Island to hit 10 balls in the MGA Long Drive Contest. Tale of the tape was 262 yards and 151 ball speed. My goal was 270 so pretty close. No practicing, no performance gear, no trampoline effect- just an early 1960’s MacGregor. #playpersimmon #retrogolf #retrogolfclub

Why are golfers the most gullible sportsman? Always believing the latest and greatest club, shaft, training aid, exercise, or teacher will magically transform their game….#retrogolf #retrogolfclub #playpersimmon #playblades

Persimmon & blade golf is the 2.0 era of golf equipment. These clubs are eminently playable, beautiful to look at, made in USA, cheap to buy, and have a sound/feel that no modern club can sniff. #retrogolfclub #retrogolf #playblades #playpersimmon

8-18 at City of Dillon Municipal…. Thanks to @sugarloafsocialclub for turning me onto this place. “Rugged”, Sub 6000 yards tipped out, TIGHT Pine Lined, sub 1000 sq ft putting greens. A perfect place to #PlayPersimmon with a 1/2 set of blades.

Highlight of persimmon & blades tournament was everyone bringing their extra gear to range night. Brilliant idea and opportunity to sample as many clubs that your body can swing at. There were more bags of clubs this small clip missed. #retrogolfclub #retrogolf #playpersimmon #playblades

Congratulations to the 2026 Persimmon & Blade Champ, Travis Ebert. This year Travis took 7 clubs to get around at an even-par 72.

Brandon Wohl @mainelybwputters takes home the long drive on #7 and gets to bring home the custom @hayescustombuilt driver!

Thank you to @suffolkgolfcourse for your hospitality, as always! Course was great.

I can’t ever express how grateful I am for all the time people take to come and be apart of this weekend!

Decisions have been made for the big weekend 3/21 @anythingbutpar blade & persimmon tournament. Besides my wife and daughter‘s birthday this is the most important day of the year to me.
