When we started working on ThriveFest 3.0, I told @she_can_never_fail that I didn't just want us to put together conference because honestly we had a lot of them happening in our school campuses in UNN, but rather we wanted to create an experience where people actually learnt & gained knowledge even before the conference day. The theme of ThriveFest 3.0 was centered around AI, creators & the creator's economy. So we asked ourselves a lot of questions like: What happens when young creators, entrepreneurs, innovators and people building with AI are given a room to connect, learn, create and imagine what's possible even before the actual conference day? That question became the foundation for ThriveFest 3.0 by AIESEC. We wanted to create an experience that reflected where young people are today. The creator economy is changing how people build careers. AI is changing how we work. From the first conversations to reaching out to our speakers and some of our awesome partners like @canva , @afrinvest, @southsaharan, planning the experience, building the community, marketing the event and eventually watching people walk through the doors, ThriveFest 3.0 became much more than an event we were organizing. It became a lesson in what happens when a team believes strongly enough in an idea to keep building it. Heck they were exciting moments, there were days where we faced a lot of difficulties when things didn't always go according to plan, or time we had to make decisions with incomplete information, keep the team moving and somehow make sure the vision we had in our heads became something people could actually experience. And then the two-event day came. The Creator's Workshop on Day 1 and the Main Conference Day on Day 2. Seeing creators, students, entrepreneurs and young people from different backgrounds in the same room, learning from each other, having conversations and building connections made the months of work worth it.
