“All lights turned off, can be turned on” - Noah Kahan.

https://supporting.afsp.org/participant/Zachary-Dixon

My name is Zach Dixon, I’m 29 years old, I’m gay, and I’m running the Chicago Marathon. My whole life I’ve struggled with my self-image and self-worth. From struggling with my sexuality to how I looked in the mirror, I often thought about if it would be easier to just go away forever. This struggle led me down some very dark paths. But I’m one of the lucky ones who avoided the irreversible path. My mom tried to choose that path, and her brother did choose it. All of this has inspired me to do something about it. I am lucky to say I get to run the Chicago Marathon this year as part of the fundraising team for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention @afspnational . Please join and help me on this journey. Like and share this post, and donate if you’re able at the link above and in my bio. Together, we can pull more people off of that irreversible path. Thank you ❤️

Kind of busy Graduating. 😎🍾

Loving this Senior session from last week at Texas Tech. Funny enough, I’d actually met Gabe before while he was doing his pharmacy rounds at Carillon. We mostly just crossed paths in clinical meetings and around the building, but it’s always cool when life reconnects people later on. ✨

We got to hit all the classic Tech spots — the Chem building, Soapsuds statue, and finished with popping a bottle at the crest. 🥳

Congratulations Gabe! You worked really freaking hard to get here!
