Sweet fruit for a sweet year. 🍊 Thank you to all who have come through the shop to welcome the Year of the Dragon. We’re so grateful for this wonderful community and the best neighbors. Happy New Year, friends! 🐲🍊🧨

This time last year, the softest of friends and family openings here at Better Half Coffee.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that, as some of you may already know, our friend and head barista will not be with us for the foreseeable future.

Her absence leaves a tremendous void in our café and in our community. She has been such an important part of this space, and her presence will be deeply missed by our team and by so many of you who have come to know and love her. We truly hope she’s able to join us again.

While I have a responsibility to keep our doors open and support the team members who rely on Better Half as their main source of income, I ask for your patience and grace as we all navigate this incredibly difficult time together.

We will remain open not only because our team depends on it, but also as a place of community. A space where people can gather, connect, grieve, and support one another. In moments like these, we’re reminded how important it is to lean on each other. Together, we will cry, organize, and care for one another best we can.

Thank you for your kindness, understanding, and continued support. We’re happy to answer what we can in person, and we’ll share updates on our social media as appropriate and with respect for everyone’s privacy. Link in Bio for her Go Fund Me, updates will be posted there.
