SteelheadBum.com and Gorge Fly Shop are one and the same, run by the same crew from our fly shop in Hood River, Oregon. Gorge Fly Shop has been around since 1992, helping anglers with rods, reels, lines, waders, flies, and plenty of fishing advice along the way.

SteelheadBum.com gives us a place to focus more heavily on steelhead and Spey fishing, while GorgeFlyShop.com covers the much bigger world of fly fishing gear we carry every day.

Sometimes the biggest impact comes from a single moment.

A fish caught, a smile shared, a day outside together — these are the kinds of memories that last. At VBA, we believe those simple moments matter. They build confidence, strengthen bonds, and create experiences veterans and families carry with them for years.

We can’t do it without donations and fundraising support. Every contribution helps us keep creating meaningful outdoor experiences like this one.

If you’d like to help make more moments like this possible, scan the QR code or visit veteransbackcountryadventures.org/donate.

Every trip has a story.
A first fish. A new memory. A shared adventure. A moment of confidence and joy.

At VBA, we’re honored to help create these stories for veterans and their families — but it only happens because of the people who support us. Donations and fundraising are what allow us to plan trips, provide experiences, and keep this mission moving forward.

If you want to help write the next story, please scan the QR code or visit veteransbackcountryadventures.org/donate.

There’s something powerful about shared adventure.
Time on the water creates more than just a fun day out — it creates connection, confidence, belonging, and community.

At VBA, these moments happen because people choose to support our mission. Donations help us cover the meals, fuel, permits, gear, and logistics that make these trips possible for veterans and their families.

If you believe in building community through the outdoors, please support VBA by scanning the QR code or visiting veteransbackcountryadventures.org/donate.
