@gorhambike new road bike from @envecomposites

Big thanks to @gorhambike for all they do to keep the wheels turning!

Excited to try out the 1x on the road. Loving it on gravel but have always had 2x on the road. Should be a great set up for some long distance road rides.

These last few weeks leading up to Little Sugar have been extremely tough. The company I worked at for over 10 YEARS eliminated my role. It knocked the wind out of me and my family, and if that wasn’t enough our dog Pepper got >10 stitches. Not like we weren’t stressed enough.

BUT, If there is anything that I’ve learned from racing, it’s that it’s not over until it’s over. There are so many good things in life to be thankful for, you don’t give up. You learn, you change, you try harder. You fight back.

Going into Little Sugar, a 100k mountain bike race, I’m ready to suffer, be in the moment, not think about anything else and just flow. I’ve been craving this for the last few weeks. I’m ready to let go of those last few weeks and fight with my heart because you don’t give up, you learn, you progress, you try harder.

And when I come back, I’ll have my wonderful family there by my side to love, cherish, and be able to provide for at a new job I am so in love with who truly believes in me like I believe in them ♥️ 🐕

The time of year has come where many rides are changing times to maximize daylight. The big ones that have changed are:
FCC MN/ThN Rides: Now 5pm
PVC WNR (Fast): 5.15pm until 10/14, then 5pm

The weather is still great so get out while you can!

Training lately🌲🌅🐾

With Zoey in Kindergarten, it’s been nice to get out early again before work vs feeling like I have to miss time with Zoey later in the day. Finally, the candle isn’t burning on both ends. Feeling grateful for this little season ❤️ Sunset bike

Bikes, Views, & Seafood_Day 5 (Sept 14)_ Brunswick to Portland (29 miles)
We kicked off our day just before 11 AM, heading to @gorhambike in Brunswick for Alva’s tire replacement. After the fix, we strolled over to @dogbarjim for a quick bite. The place was a total vibe; the definition of eclectic does not do it justice! 👽 We took a break at the Garmin in Yarmouth, where they’re all about satellite communication and GPS tech. Sadly, they couldn’t spare any free Garmin gear; believe me we tried 😔😂. We got to our hotel way too early, so we decided to bike over to @holydonutmaine to see if they lived up to the hype. They make these ‘cakey’ donuts instead of yeast, which wasn’t quite my cup of tea. After the donuts, we biked to @blackelephanthostel, where Abbeth gave us a quick rundown of the place and the area. Then, we hopped on our bikes for a short ride to @cyclemaniaportland, where Chris got our bikes ready for shipping. After a shower and repacking we grab dinner @portlandlobstercompany. The roads and drivers were okay, but we had a constant headwind for most of the ride. We saw a group of 10-15 bike packers heading in the opposite direction on our way out of Brunswick. No idea where they were coming from or going 🤷🏾‍♂️ We also had to cut the tour short because of unexpected circumstances. It was amazing while it lasted, and we’re already thinking about where we’ll go next year… maybe the Underground Railroad Trail or the Camino de Santiago? Who knows where endless time and two wheels will take us! We’re all flying back tomorrow. Thanks for following our “mis” adventures and stay tuned for what’s next!!
