POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s time to go to the region that’s been very dear to my heart lately: the Asian continent! 🌏

I think I’ve been making up lost time from my childhood when books like this were hard to come by in a predominately white state. This region is the largest of my little series, and honestly, I wish it was bigger! I do hope one day I’ll be able to add a Central Asian mythology/folklore section and expand the Southeast Asian and Oceania groups. ❤️

All of these books have stolen my heart one way or another either through ripping my heart out or leaving me on edge with the plot and characters. Again like the other posts, all of these books are personal favorites of mine and just me being huge fans of the authors and their writing. Please note that this list does include some white authors, but they are here because of their well researched and written books that focus on the mythology or folklore of an Asian region.‼️

Now that I think about it, Harbour of Hungry Ghosts shouldn’t be in “future releases” since it just came out, but right now. . . It’ll be a massive headache to do it on my Canva phone app, so it’s staying. 😅

As is apparently customary for me with these posts, I’ve forgotten to include @katrinazkwan two books: The Last Dragon of the East and The Legend of the Nine-Tailed Fox here (sorry!! 😅), but I’m sure there are others I’ve forgotten in the making of these posts, so feel free to put them in the comments for others to find them! 🥰

Up next: Africa! 🌍

Making my way around South East - Part 3
If you’ve seen any of my stories lately, then you know I’m on a month track through South East Asia. If not, then welcome now 😊
Our last stops were in Thailand, where we spent some time in Bangkok and then took things a little easier with a few days in Krabi. Hope you enjoy the photos I included here. I even tried something new and included a few short videos in here.

I like to dive into books that include folklore, mythology, or culture from other places. Turns out that I haven’t actually read anything including either of these from Thailand. I do have The Last Phi Hunter and Way of the Walker on my TBR though. As for the rest, I had to do some research to come up with this list. Now I have new books added to my list of books to read 📚

Have you read anything of these books? Are there any not here that you know of and would recommend?
