Feeling happy and blessed to accompany these incredible NJ Cohort ministry leaders on a week-long pilgrimage in Cape Town, South Africa. We left as colleagues and came back as family. Grateful for The Ministry Collaborative, my co-facilitator @set_captives_free , our pilgrimage leader @amihanvb , and all of our wonderful guides Katie and Athena @lifebeyondtheroom and hosts.

More than ever I am convinced we weren’t meant to do ministry alone.

Sankofa (SAHN-koh-fah) is a Twi word from the Akan Tribe of Ghana that's loosely translated “go back and get it.” Everyone in the FreeHER online community is invited to join me & Rev. Raquel (@revraquel1) on Monday @ 7 PM. Wanna participate? The link to join the Facebook group is in my bio.

What a fellowship at the Princeton Theological Seminary (@princetonseminary) Association of Black Seminarians (@pts_abs) Senior Blessing Service & Alumni Reception, which was sponsored by the Betsey Stockton Center of Black Church Studies (@blackchurchstudies) . Some of my favorite pastoral interns are seniors and newly minted alumni. It was great to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, AND hear a WONDERUL Word preached by my sister-friend, The Reverend Maria Norales Crompton (@rev_maria)!!! 🙌🏽
