Cardiff half recap! 🥇

Seeing so many of you choose us for race day is always amazing to us!

We saw so many of you wearing socks, singlets, shorts, hats it's crazy to think this is the 3rd Cardiff half for us since we started this little project, so to see it grow year on year is awesome

Thanks to you all for trusting us ❤️

Midweek racing. Love it.

I knew the legs would protest a little but actually they did well considering they did 52 miles across the weekend!!

With a headwind on the way out it was never going to be quick but it would let me test myself a little.

Another fab @run4allneath summer series race. Great turnout from @ogmorephoenixrunners once again and always fab to catch up with friends from across the running community.

Back in fast daps! @asicsrunning #metaspeedskyplus kindly gifted by @asicsfrontrunner on our trip to Budapest 3 years ago. They’re so comfortable and light and give that pop to assist on every step.

First mile 8:26. Half of it into the wind and half assisted as it loops back on the lower prom. HR pushed a little higher than it has been of late and it felt good to test it. Second mile entirely into the wind and it was tough. Didn’t have the energy to push against it so faded a little to the turnaround as the HR hit 170!

But then found a rhythm and slowly wound it up. Quickened all the way dipping under 8min/mile average and 6:38 across the line. Very happy with that. Overall time less important than the response of my body after double marathon weekend.

Watched others finished and cheered them in.

Wholesome and uplifting evening.

Because running is so often like that.

Loved it.

On Wednesday I completed my longest run to date, 43 miles from Cardiff Castle all the way to the top of Pen-Y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons 🏰🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️⛰️😮‍💨

I did it to celebrate my 1 year run streak but more importantly to raise money for @msf_uk ⛑️

I'm pleased to say we raised £3000 which is three times the original target of £1000 that I set out to hit, so a big thanks to anyone who shared or donated! 🙌🏻

It was one of the hardest things I've ever done but made a lot easier by having amazing friends come and support me, I feel very grateful for you all ❤️

Now the big question is, what next? I'm ready to up the ante and go again 😅 feel free to comment any ideas 🫡
