my twenties in twenty photos: May 2015 - 20 yrs | i dropped out of college in January 2015 due to lack of funds and was thrust immediately into a life of art and travel. May 2015 i was in Tulum, Mexico for a photoshoot with my platonic life partner, @gotojo_ Dec 2015 - 21 yrs | galavanting around Miami with the homies, breaking into building rooftops for photos Nov 2016, April 2017 - 22 yrs | spent much of 2015 and 2016 roadtripping around the U.S., visited my high school bestie @gutsngore A TON, then moved to Thailand Nov 2017, March & April 2018 - 23 yrs | teaching in and traveling around Thailand, got my deep sea diving cert, then visited the Miami familia within a week of moving back to U.S. in April 2018 Dec 2018, April 2019 - 24 yrs | our final Christmas with our beloved Hammbone, then i moved to LA and was doin’ the damn thing alongside Big Al – we got to see Sequoia trees!! Nov 2019, Jan 2020 - 25 yrs | turned 25 under a full moon on the Mojave Trail, learned to shoot film and got my first camera, threw a house party in my dream home, traveled to Marfa, TX in the Li’l Meatball for a shoot for Off the Rails Mag Nov 2020, May 2021 - 26 yrs | Covid, worst year of my life, left LA and it took six months to be able to return – and i did in the best way, taking midnight dips in the Pacific with @taylordid Dec 2021 - 27 yrs | got to spend a lot of time with family as i bopped between the east coast, ATX, Denver, and LA Nov 2022, April 2023 - 28 yrs | settled in Denver after learning i had cervical cancer, discovered the power of community and leaned in so mf hard (thank dog), learned to shoot medium format film, and worked on my first feature film set in Santa Fe, NM – and that led to me bringing home Cholula baby! Nov & Dec 2023, March 2024 - 29 yrs | found my people, found my love, found what gives me purpose in life, found my voice, threw my first solo art show BΛSURΛ Y BESOS – and so much more. i’m 30 years old today, and i’ve never felt more grateful to be in my own skin. my ma and i joked on the phone last week but all things considered – issa damn miracle i got to see this day. endless gratitude and love to those who got me here <3

a day and a half left of twenty-seven. it’s been a wild, tough, endearing, creative, supportive, angering, laughable, adventurous, loving, motivating, enlightening year. i carried a white lighter in my left pocket every single day, just in case. but i was meant to see twenty-eight, and i couldn’t be more grateful to the universe for seeing me through. to everyone who made this year so special and showed up for me in ways i never could’ve imagined – i am deeply, wholly appreciative of each of you. every new year seems to be the most tumultuous, and simultaneously the trip around the sun that leaves me most in awe. some highlights of the big two-seven were : - directing and photographing my first paid brand shoot in Los Angeles, AND getting tattooed by a dear homie during one of the shoots - getting invited to exhibit one of my favorite pieces and live paint in a my first art show, also in LA - becoming Auntie to another healthy, beautiful baby, B, and getting to celebrate P’s second birthday with her + fam - I MODELED FOR PLAYBOY AS A HEAVILY TATTOOED MODEL, Y’ALL - got my shit outta ATX finally and relocated to my new home in Denver with the help of my platonic life partner - began learning to shoot medium format - getting to help throw dope, inclusive events with badass women in Denver - growing, learning to love myself and understand my worth, finding my people, and creating more than ever i think i’m ready for twenty-eight, and a few more after that 🤍🌿 can’t wait to see my people Saturday + Sunday for all the scorpio bday festivities 🦂
