$Anodized titanium for @govi. I worked on all the album art and this animation for govi’s new album (thumbnail is the cover). Anodizing is a technique which creates a thin oxidized layer on the titanium which refracts light to appear as though the metal has colour. To create the animation I used vinyl-cut stickers to mask areas, and then repeatedly dipped each plate to create a time-lapse of the metal changing colour. The process created somewhat unpredictable results and it was exciting not exactly knowing what you’ll get. Thanks to alex verni for the help with the initial set up.$
