~A Dream Reached, A Calling Fulfilled~ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I always loved the feeling of making people smile and I quickly learned that the happiest smiles were shared when someone experiences that first glance in the mirror at their new look. My job as a hairdresser is not only my calling, but my creative outlet. I am blessed to work on a craft where I can grow & express myself everyday!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #goals #inspoquote #loveyourself #inspiringquotes #inspiringwords #quotesfordays #loveryourself #positivemindset #loveyourselfquotes #selflovequote #truelover #quotelover #airsalonandblowdrybar #instahair #hairsalon #behindthechair #salon #haircare #hairdo #longhair #barber #edgeofthelakemagazine #jameehair #louisiana #phorestsalonsoftware #hairdressersthatslay #hairdressersofinstagram #highlights #highlightsandlowlights #localsalon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @airblowdrybar @kerastase_official @kerastase_paris_ @mandevillelakefront @mandeville.la @visitneworleans @lorealpro @lorealusa @lorealparis @jamee_nicole_un.ltd @phorest.northamerica @phorestsalonsoftware @lanorthshore @behindthechair_com @behindthechair_stylist @gozeezor @hairdreamsusa @hairdresser.world

Howard Stern once said... "There is no such thing as listening, there is only talking, and waiting to talk." Be better than that, take a genuine interest and those around you and practice #activelistening . Reality check.. The Salon Industry is in chaos right now. Well, what I should say is, Disrupted... . To me, disruption is just another word for change... But a massive and permanent one. Being from a small town I witnessed this in the farming industry when I was younger. Technology completely changed that industry. And it is happening (and has been for a while) in the salon industry. . To me, there are two ways to deal with it. You can either complain and go out of business, or strategize and take advantage of the exciting opportunities... . One of the technologies I embraced early was @gozeezor it completely enhanced the owners ability to keep their finger on the pulse of business minute by minute and allows them to celebrate in real time when a stylist is having a great day while giving us the opportunity to encourage or coach when that’s needed too... . But don’t let me fool you, just like everyone else, there are some new technologies we are just now hearing about or are a little behind on.. This makes me excited for the future, how fast we can learn and adapt still makes business a fun game to play!

“We’ve worked hard and continue to work every day at maintaining a culture based on mutual respect and caring. Yes, we have apps from our POS company, but ZeeZor and their team take it to a whole different level and they are in it with us”- Megan Jasper, General Manager – Gadabout SalonSpas . . . . . #easihairpro #ZeeZor #dataintodollars #salonprofessionals #hairextensionspecialist #hairextensionexpert #GetToGreen #5StarApp #DreadTheRed #DataDriven #RetailProblems #SalonTech

A salon owner wears a lot of hats , so that can become overwhelming when you ignore or put off important things for too long. . . In this pic, you see my CFO David and COO @tammy_cosper both of these incredible people focus full time on crucial areas of our organization such as People and Finances.. We’re really blessed to have them but I can tell you it was not always that way! . . In 1991 when we started @salon124group with four stylists we wore all hats. And it was two things that I knew would make us different from other salons - 1) was the focus on education, we knew we needed to offer our team the opportunity to grow, to fulfill their own potential and purpose. 2) I was committed to working On the Business - Not - In the Business... That meant learning to focus on other areas to create healthy and sustainable growth... . First had always been people. But that doesn’t leave out Systems, Leadership, Operations , Finance, Training and a host of things that can just pop up throughout any given day. . The reason why I’m so excited about @124.go is because it’s our turn to help other owners to hopefully avoid some of the mistakes that I’ve made in the past.. . Oh by the way, you know I love to share exciting news. In February 2020, we are going to host a 4-day intensive salon owner workshop in Atlanta for a small group of owners! . More details to come!

When I advise young people about choosing a salon or choosing an industry to work in I would say - You have to ask yourself as if you were choosing a life partner. 1) What are the qualities and Characteristics that you look for? It’s the same thing with a salon, a salon becomes like your family... So when you go for an interview, go in to answer their questions.. But bring your own questions also! . What types of questions might you ask the owner? ..Who they are as a person ..What is their vision is for the salon (and you) .. Do they have a strategy to fulfill that vision .. What is the culture of your company . . At the end of the day, you want to know where YOU FIT, not just will they hire you.. . . Here’s the reality, if you find a place that you fit, a great culture, and an owner who really cares about your growth - all of the other stuff is easy.. . . #saloneducation #salonculture @124.go #124fam #raiseuptoriseup #risingtides #modernsalon #salontoday #shoptalkpodcast #keuneamerica #keunehaircosmetics #pureology @gozeezor

“When I first saw my salons numbers on my phone and I could see my people too, I felt like it was Christmas. Last month, we ran a contest using ZeeZor and it generated over $50,000 in increased revenue.
