Our day at Palisades Interstate Park was one to remember! 🌲☀️ From the incredible food prepared by the talented Chef @gozi24 to karaoke, yoga, games, and plenty of laughter, our tenants had the best time soaking up every moment together

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, who brought so much energy and heart to the day, leading games and groups, joining in on karaoke and yoga, and making sure every tenant felt included, celebrated, and special.
Special shout to @fitmarissa for leading the yoga group with so much engagement and ease!

Great food, beautiful views, and even better company made for a truly wonderful day!

Wednesday in the Word 💛

This morning, before leaving home, I read a devotional about a kayak.

The message was simple:

A kayak isn’t secure just because it’s pulled onto the dock. It has to be tied to the anchor.

The devotional compared that to our relationship with Christ.

“I am the vine; you are the branches… apart from Me you can do nothing.” ~ John 15:5

It reminded me that prayer, time in God’s Word, and staying connected to Him aren’t just for life’s storms. They’re what prepare us before the storm ever comes.

Then we arrived at today’s volunteer event…and the very first thing I saw was this.

A row of kayaks.

Continued in comment 👇🏼

I just stood there and smiled.

Later, my friend @gozi24 and I walked by the water, and I played the devotional for him. We listened together in silence.

When it ended, all either of us could say was,

“Wow.”

For me, it wasn’t about the kayaks.

It was about the reminder.

This season of my life has taught me that being close to God isn’t enough.

I want to be tethered to Him.

Because storms will come.

But when Christ is your anchor, you don’t have to fear drifting away.
