Wow, we made it! And I say we because it was all my friends crushing those 208 miles together. I never stop thinking about how incredible our bodies are and what we’re capable of. Those 208 miles (334 km) might look like a lot—or like nothing—to some people, but for me, they represented months of physical and mental training just to get there and truly enjoy the ride. I’m so grateful for my friends, who were always cheering each other on; @ltsizzlee, for supporting all my adventures and dreams; and, of course, @juansupelano —his experience and guidance were essential. I feel so happy and can’t stop smiling after an experience like this. Seattle to Portland! Seeing the mountains, riding through so many different landscapes, and facing my fears on the highway… my heart is so full. ❤️

Grace, one of our awesome volunteer chefs, recently left the Bay Area and moved to Seattle. Before leaving, she impressed our guests by serving a delicious pork belly recipe. We love when volunteers bring their passion for cooking to Hope's Corner! Have a wonderful time in Seattle, Grace. We will miss you! 🥰

Sierra High Route: DAY 1 I’ll be writing about my experience from each day backpacking on the Sierra High Route (SHR), but first let me introduce the SHR! The Sierra High Route is a 195 mile long cross-country hike with a bit of overlap on the JMT/PCT. Much of the trail stays at a higher elevation- traversing through granite slabs, meadows, and loose talus!! George, Emma, and I will be attempting to do a portion of the SHR: Twin Lakes, Bridgeport to Bishop in two weeks! We spent the last two days prepping and camping at Twin Lakes with a few of our friends! Early in the morning we shuffled cars. Leaving my car in Mammoth, another in Bishop, and then we returned to Twin Lakes. We also dropped off our resupply food in a bear box somewhere in Tuolumne Meadows along Tioga Road. We put finishing touches on our gear (grabbed toilet paper and a poncho) and said goodbye to our friends! We started from Twin Lakes around 1:30pm, hiked in 4 miles just below Horse Creek Pass, but soon enough dark clouds began to roll in and there was thunder. We set up camp before the rain and cooked some dinner. I ate dinner in my tent as the rain came down hard. But luckily it stopped after an 1.5 hrs. I was psyched to see a beautiful sunset at our first night on the SHR. Camping at Twin Lakes the past two nights and starting day 1 with low mileage really helped me acclimate and get used to the weight of the pack.

What are your post-grad plans? I'm working as an AR/VR software engineer at Apple in the Bay! Excited to explore norcal with friends <3 2. Favorite Memory in Blueprint? Blueprint was such a formative club during college, so I am so grateful to have many cherished memories. One of my favorites was winter retreat earlier this year. It was really well planned (shoutout to exec) and so fun to spend a weekend with all the new and returning members. Everyone was so friendly and it was honestly so fun and wholesome to play games in the park, roam the mall food court, reveal our printer-printee families, and guess baby pictures. It was a great time to get to know the new members more, and many of my blueprint friendships started or deepened from that retreat!
