“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

the best month of my life. for campers best week only of their lives. God met us all there. i don't think i'll ever have words for this month. somewhere between the early mornings, tired feet, dirty cabins, worship that felt like heaven, laughter that became family, and quiet moments alone with Jesus He changed something in me. we memorized Matthew 14:22–33, and i don’t think i’ll ever read it the same again. i’ve spent so much of my life trying to stay where it felt safe. trying to hold on to control. waiting until i felt ready. but Jesus doesn’t ask us to feel ready. He simply says, “Come.” i think somewhere along the way, i got out of the boat. not because my faith became bigger than my fears, but because i realized my Savior has always been bigger than both. this month wasn’t made up of one life-changing moment. it was a thousand quiet ones. choosing obedience when no one saw. choosing surrender instead of control. choosing to serve because that’s exactly what Jesus did. learning that dying to yourself isn’t losing your life it’s finally finding it. and maybe the most beautiful thing Jesus taught me wasn’t how to serve better. it was how to stay. to sit at His feet before i try to work with my hands. to remember that before i’m a servant, i’m His daughter. to stop striving for a love that has already been freely given. i’m learning that faith isn’t loud. most days it looks like an ordinary “yes.” Yes when it’s uncomfortable. yes when it’s inconvenient. yes when i don’t know what’s next. because every time i take one step toward Him, i find He’s already reaching for me. camp eventually ends. the songs get quieter. the cabins empty. everyone goes home. but Jesus doesn’t stay on the mountain. He walks with us into the ordinary. so if there’s one thing i’m taking home, it’s that i got out of the boat. and by the grace of God, i don’t want to spend the rest of my life watching from what’s comfortable when Jesus is calling me to walk toward Him. I’d rather sink with my eyes on Jesus than spend my life wondering what would’ve happened if I’d stayed in the boat. all glory to Christ. always.
