Senior Sunday (+3) - My little China dolls! 🥰 I couldn’t resist picking up these adorable outfits for the girls during a work trip to China! When they outgrew the dresses, they put them on my old Cricket dolls. 💕

In 2023 my daughter Grace and I drove over 12 hours from Kansas to see Dolly perform at a benefit for a small town, 500 seat theater in Philadelphia, Mississippi! It was so incredibly HOT but worth every minute!! We didn’t have tickets to go inside so we brought our hot pink folding chairs and watched the live feed from the parking lot outside the theater! My goodness was it hot on that concrete with no shade!! 🥵 I don’t know how we made it out in that heat all day! Seeing Dolly’s mural unveiling and watching her sing live in front of the mural was surreal!!

After the mural unveiling there was a short break until the next show inside the theater was to begin. We went back to the paved area (still in the blazing sun) to wait for the next live broadcast when two sweet girls from the theater came over to greet us. I guess they saw us with our signs and our HOT PINK outfits! (Kinda hard to miss us!) 🤪 They invited my daughter and my niece to watch the second show from INSIDE the theater!!!!!!!! I mean, how AMAZING!?!? Grace has loved Dolly since she was tiny! What a dream come true! For the both of us! I’m so happy she was able to watch Dolly in person! 😍🥰

I didn’t get to go inside the theater with the girls so I went back to our folding chairs to watch the live feed outside but Grace said it was AMAZING!!!! After the last show that night we had to start driving back to Kansas but we were both on cloud nine!!! Let me tell you, I was beyond exhausted and ready to fall out from the heat but I am so grateful for those memories!!! 🥰 What a trip!!!

Fast forward to 2026 and here we are… presented with an opportunity to return to that special little town in Mississippi!! A photo of Grace and I from that day in 2023 was entered into a contest with the Congress of Country Music! 🚨🎶 GRACE & I NEED YOUR HELP! 🎶🚨

This photo has a pretty special story behind it… 💕

A few years ago I drove Grace over 12 HOURS so we could see one of Grace’s country music idols, Dolly Parton—and then we spent the ENTIRE day standing out in 100+ degree heat waiting for the show! 🥵☀️🎶

And because apparently we hadn’t had enough adventure for one day… 😂 we turned around and drove the 12+ hours BACK TO KANSAS that same night to get back to work! 🚗💨

Was it crazy? Absolutely.
Was it hot? WITHOUT A DOUBT. 😂
Was it worth it? 100% YES. ❤️

Because some of the best memories are made when you’re willing to go the extra mile (or 24+ hours worth of miles 😉) with your kids!

Now this special photo is entered in a contest through the Congress of Country Music, and we have a chance to win an AMAZING country music experience:

🎤 FRONT ROW TICKETS to see Lainey Wilson!
🤝 A MEET & GREET with Lainey Wilson AND Marty Stuart! 😍🎸

🏆 The photo with the MOST LIKES on the Congress of Country Music’s Facebook page WINS!

Senior Sunday! Throwing it back to when Emma and Grace were flower girls (and Landon, the ring bearer) in the wedding of our very dear, Miss Alicia. They were so little, so sweet, and completely adorable as they walked down the aisle to celebrate someone who has been such a special part of our family.

Alicia cared for our girls and Landon, loved them, and became so much more than a nanny—she became family. ❤️
