There’s just something about a 4th of July Parade that reminds me of simpler times and the beautiful truth that our country isn’t perfect but God has truly blessed the USA!

Warning: Long post about our JOY FILLED weekend celebrating Marcos’ graduation from GCU + his engagement to Hannah! It’s hard to put into words what this weekend meant to our family. Having almost lost Marcitos at birth, his life is a beautiful miracle. I have told him for as long as I can remember that God has big plans for him. It is incredible to look back over the past 21 years and see how God’s hand has been on Marcos. God filled in the gaps where I let him down. God has guided, protected, redeemed mistakes, lit Marcos’ path and called him to great things! Marcos graduated with a BA in Biblical studies and is already working on his Masters in theology from Phoenix Seminary. If that weren’t enough to celebrate, God ordered the steps of Marcos and Hannah to meet at a church youth camp a few years ago and that meeting has blossomed into the making of a Kingdom Couple. I could not be more proud or happier and would like to thank everyone who has poured into the lives of Marcos and Hannah. Your support has not gone unnoticed. Looking forward to the Keenan + Padilla wedding! #godisgood #miracles #gcugrad #kingdomcouple

Meet a Member Monday: Grace and Emma Neves!🧸🤍

Emma is a fourth year from San Marcos, CA. She’s studying Liberal Studies and loves to go to the beach, hangout with friends and family, and playing the piano!

Grace is a second year, also from San Marcos, CA. She’s studying Speech Language Pathology and likes to read, go shopping, tanning, going to the beach and going on hikes!

Here’s how AOII has impacted both of their lives but as sisters:
From Emma- “It has been such an amazing experience having my sister be part of AOII. Watching her go through recruitment was surreal—it felt so special to see her experience something that means so much to me. Seeing her grow throughout the process, gain confidence, and truly find her place has been incredibly rewarding. Sharing AOII with her has made my experience even more meaningful, and I’m so proud of the woman she continues to become❣️”

From Grace- “Being in AOII with my sister has been an experience I will cherish for a lifetime. We’ve always been close, and I’ve always looked up to her, but sharing this sisterhood has strengthened our bond more than ever. Being able to support each other, celebrate victories, and create lasting memories has made my time in college so special. I’m so grateful to have her by my side and to share these unforgettable moments with her in the chapter we both love and adore.💖”
