Feeling so lucky to get to talk to Ezra at Galley Brag about the 10000 different things I do in publishing, and mostly used it as an opportunity to call everyone I know brilliant. And the crazy thing is that they all are! Publishing is a team sport, and I feel like the luckiest guy in the world with this team. You can read the whole thing (where I do also talk about myself, I promise) on Substack now.

Growing up, going to the Barnes & Noble in Clark, New Jersey and picking up the latest issue of @pastemagazine was a sacred tradition for me.

So it meant a lot that Paste was the first publication to cover @hearhear.fm, with an in-depth piece from @grace_roso that really captured the spirit of what we’re building.

Link in bio, and as always, DM me if you have any questions, ideas, or takes about how we can keep making the site better! (The app is coming very soon.) 👀

“I do believe that music has a unique ability to affect social and political change in areas where other forms of messaging might fall short. Still, I’m by no means under the impression that artists could fix these world-plaguing issues even if they wanted to—because this is unrealistic, and because setting out with the goal of writing a song that changes the world more often than not leads to bad, boring art. I’m not depending on Olivia Rodrigo to singlehandedly end the patriarchy. What she can do, however, is throw a damn good festival that makes a difference.”
