Don’t even know where to begin… but I’ll start with sitting with my mom on the base of The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid in Egypt and the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World.

Big Love and Thanks @gracebauer07 for this “bucket list” trip with sibs! ❤️

I love that this popped up in my FB memories today!

My mom, Grace, aka a real “OG” or “original Grace” went to culinary school here in L.A. after Hurricane Katrina! Her Commercial Interior Design business (Bauer Interiors) was still displaced from the aftermath. She wrote this dessert cookbook with some of the most iconic L.A. institutions…. @spagobh @chateaumarmont @mussoandfrankgrill @wolfgangpuck @portosbakery @knottsberryfarm @joansonthird @the.dresden @osteriamozza and many more!!!

Fifteen years ago - she was hosting a book signing @portosbakery with their famous tres leches desserts and her book. And now I’ve written one. And this dessert is featured in it!

The recipe is after Chapter 13
Grace Rose Foundation - 501(c)3

I topped it with a little vanilla salt flake to enhance the flavor.

As CF awareness month comes to an end, I want to share my immense gratitude for California Winemasters and their 35th Annual Fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. This event has raised millions of dollars for crucial research and medicine leading to life-saving drugs. Grace-Rose has been their proud Ambassador since she was ten years old.

We still have work to do as it is not a cure and several CF patients without access or a specific genetic code do not benefit from these drugs. However, we have gotten so much closer and without these fundraisers, donors and volunteers GR wouldn’t be thriving.

I owe it all to you!! 🙏🏼💜

“All of us love. All of us do it more and more perfectly. The past has brought us both ashes and diamonds. In the present we find the flowers of what we’ve planted and the seeds of what we are becoming. I plant the seeds of love in my heart. I plant the seeds of love in the hearts of others.”*

One of my deepest love languages is creating beautiful, memorable, authentic gatherings with all of my loved ones. Dreaming up a table scape and a menu fills my bucket in a way unlike other creative practices.

What originated as an intimate family birthday dinner quickly matured into a buoyant celebration of friends, family, kids and kittens. One of my most favorite sounds is that of kids squealing and thundering down the stairs, laughing and playing and enjoying the company equally as much as each respective adult.

Last night was such a great reminder to hug your friends tight and be grateful for each and every constituent of your village. Love grows exponentially when you let people know just how loved they are.

All of us love and all of us do it more and more perfectly. 🩷

I couldn’t have made yesterday a better day if I tried. Thank you all. Ilysm.
