It’s a fundraiser / celebration! In Nov - March of last year a team of teaching artists and creative producers gathered for a cross cultural collab between Baltimore youth and youth in Kochi (India)! Music, storytelling and more came from these efforts. Our collab music vid came out about a month ago!

10+ days. A bunch of incredible artists. One crazy city — Kochi.

I came here for a shoot, but somewhere between living together, creating together, and performing all over the city, it became so much more than just a project.

With the Kochi-Muziris Biennale bringing art to every corner, we got to experience Kochi through the eyes of artists, performers, and creators — and honestly, it was one of the best times of my life.

Travel becomes a lot different when you have a purpose.

I know… I should’ve shared this earlier.

This is the story of what happened in Kochi.

Sometimes, you meet people you’ve never known before, but somehow you’re all chasing the same purpose—to spread art. And when that happens, you don’t just exchange conversations, you exchange perspectives, experiences, and everything you’ve learned along the way.

The best part?

What we created for the kids was something I’ll never forget. Somewhere along those 15 days… we accidentally became a rock band for kids.

@artsfortheculture didn’t just give me an experience—it changed the way I look at art, people, and even life.

Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of everything that happened during those unforgettable 15 days.

Grateful for every person, every moment, and every lesson. ❤️
