5 years ago I was a selfish, arrogant, and cocky 17 year old kid who thought he was the best when it came to bowing. I hurt a lot of people and messed up a bunch and it sucked. To those who managed to bear with me from then till now, thank you.

My journey started at Wichita State University in the fall of 2021. I was the worst version of myself, and having freedom for the first time in my life was something I thought would have 0 consequences and boy was I wrong. Looking back, I blamed my poor decisions on other things instead of taking accountability for my actions even though my heart wanted to do what was right. I left WSU thinking I would never bowl in college again after 1 semester and a lot of failed classes. To those of you at WSU at the time, coaches and players, thank you and I’m sorry.

Transferred to Mount Mercy University in the fall of 2022. Felt like a fresh start at school, but I didn’t change individually. I thought changing where I was would change me, but it didn’t. That same selfish mindset led to hurting others, and building a horrendous ego. Making ISC as a red shirt was cool, and almost bowling on TV was nice, but showing respect to people who wanted what was best for me would have felt better. Again, to those of you at MMU at the time, coaches and players, thank you and I’m sorry.

Finally SCAD-Savannah. My first year was tough. Coming from a time in my life when all I felt like I had was myself, I shoved such a loving group aside and wanted to do it alone. I was so scared and didn’t believe like I could’ve been supported, but that changed after my first year. I met Jesus, and He changed my life. I began to be patient, caring, and overall a better human being. I was bowling with my best friends and had the most fun, and difficult but needed conversations I had in a long time.

that leads me to here, the end. A time of my life that I will never forget. I met some of the most amazing people, made so many connections, and fell in love with bowling so much. To my guys who I got to spend my last year with, thank you for making it so memorable.

I may not have the awards, and I might not have been a “dog” but I was me, and that’s okay.

What a ride it’s been. As a new season starts, I can’t help but look back on what the last 4 years with SCAD Bowling have meant to me.

I’ve been putting off writing this because words don’t feel enough to capture the gratitude and love I have for the people I’ve met through this journey. SCAD Bowling gave me my identity back, helped me find my confidence, and showed me that incredible things can happen when you put in the work.

If I could choose what I’d want my legacy here to be, it’s something I heard recently that has stuck with me: “I’m as good as I make my teammates.” That’s always how I’ve felt about this team.

The memories will always stay with me: van rides blasting Pitch Perfect, 6am workouts, late nights finishing projects at tournaments, snowball fights in Chicago, ER visits, and countless moments in between. I wouldn’t be who I am today without every single person who’s been part of this experience. Thank you, truly, for everything.

While I’m graduating as an athlete, I’m grateful that this isn’t the end. I’ll be staying at SCAD for grad school as a GA for the program, and I’m so excited for the chance to give back to the community that has given me so much.

Here’s to the next chapter 💛🐝

Thankful for every step of the way. From bowling with the best team ever to becoming a sound master, I had the best adventure I could ever ask for.

Thank you to my parents, family, friends for pushing me to be where I am today.

That’s Back to Back SCAD Sweeps! 🐝🧹🎳

SCAD Men’s and Women’s team got the win this weekend in Louisville at the NAIA Invitational! That makes that back to back weekends with a SCAD tournament sweep! Had a ton of fun bowling all weekend with the guys, being able to bring home the W with the girls team and seeing some family from the area felt so great! Sunday matchplay was easily the most exciting bowling moment I’ve been apart of! This was the last collegiate tournament of 2024 and of our fall quarter, super awesome to go into break on such a high note! Looking forward to some time at home, and for a month full of bowling! 🐝🎳 •
Balls thrown this weekend include the @hammerbowling Purple urethane (🐐), Envy Tour, the @trackbowling stealth, and Tundra Blue Fire!

Another amazing weekend to end my first quarter at SCAD, we went up to Louisville to bowl the NAIA invitational, on Friday I earned my first ATT of my collegiate career going +153 for the 5 games, then after bakers we went into match play as the 2 seed where we went on to take home the win for the event. Shoutout once again to the girls for taking home the win, put us down for back to back SCAD sweeps!!! Now we go back to Florida for a few weeks, continue to compete and put in work and pick up right where we left off in January.
