Setting up a stadium merch booth is a full body workout.

We spent Saturday at McMahon Stadium getting ready for the Calgary Wild FC home opener.

The weather was typical Calgary.

It was cold. It was unpredictable. It was perfect.

Most people think a merch booth just appears out of thin air on game day.

They are wrong.

It takes a small army to haul boxes, organize sizes, and make sure every scarf is ready for the fans.

There is a specific kind of energy in the air when you are setting up before the gates open.

I spent the day behind the booth slinging tees and connecting with the community.

It felt great to be back where I belong.

The support for Wild FC is real.

I can already tell this 2026 season is going to be one for the books.

Shoutout to Lara Murphy Melissa Domansky (Blades) Sarah Nwaerondu Mallory Johnson Deanna Zumwalt and their teams for doing an Incredible job.

Loved seeing old pals like Dennis Agbegha, BSc, MSc. Roxanne Molnar Grace Dafoe Ian Macdonald Naheed Nenshi Panayiotis (Panos) Kantzilieris Andi Carey and every single fan who braved the cold this weekend.

You make this team what it is.

Were you one of the fans who showed up at McMahon this weekend?

Thank you!

What an amazing and inspiring monthly speaker series and networking session we experienced on April 9th, 2026.

Grace Dafoe, Alex Ogbongbemiga, Jon Cornish, CFA, Jean Claude Munyezamu, Torean France and Anthony Bellot shared powerful reflections on how sports have shaped not just their careers, but their identities. From becoming impactful leaders in their work to thriving as entrepreneurs and community builders, their journeys are proof that the lessons learned through sport extend far beyond the field.

Sports instill something deeper than physical strength—they build resilience, discipline, and an unshakable “I can do it” mindset. Even in the face of adversity, athletes learn to push forward, adapt, and rise again. These same qualities translate directly into leadership, innovation, and meaningful contributions to society.

One theme that stood out strongly was the importance of coaching. Behind every great athlete is a great coach, someone who guides, challenges, and believes in their potential. What’s truly inspiring is how these leaders are now paying it forward, mentoring and coaching the next generation to become not only better athletes, but better people and contributors to their communities.

Another heartfelt thank you to Jon, Grace, Jean Claude, Torean, Alex, and Anton for sharing your stories and inspiring everyone in the room.

Our monthly speaker series is more than just a networking event, it’s a space to connect, reflect, and grow alongside like-minded professionals. It’s where inspiration meets purpose.

Our next event is taking place on May 14th, 2026 and it’s going to be packed with energy, insight, and inspiration. You won’t want to miss it. Stay tuned for details!
