A wonderful weekend at the Split Rock show this weekend! Grace DeFoe and Michigan made it to the podium with a 🥉place finish in the $10k CS13* 1.35m National Prix and finished 🥇 in the 1.30m power and speed class. Congrats to the winner Samuel Parot of Chile on a great ride! This show followed the double header for her TAMU Equestrian team where she finished back to back high scores in both meets and earned two “Most Outstanding Player” awards over fences. We are so proud of her accomplishments but we are extremely proud of her resilience. Grace has faced challenges in these past few years and how she handled herself was inspiring. She just kept working, just kept going and never gave up. It’s your time Grace you earned it 🌟 CONGRATS!! Thank you also to team Ashland Farms for a great show. On Sunday we spent some time with Grace’s first horse Fire who is now living his best life in a green pasture with the best horse buddies. To celebrate 🎉 a great weekend we had a yummy dinner out at one of our Lexington favs Jeff Rubys steakhouse. Couldn’t wrap up this post without saying thank you God from whom all blessings flow. ♥️🙏🏼 Enjoy these moments Grace, we love you!

This summer marked a number of new beginnings for Grace. She joined a new barn ~ Ashland Farms based in Lexington, Kentucky and Wellington, Florida where everyone had been so welcoming! And she began a new partnership with a horse named “Michigan” which we have had a few laughs over because we are the biggest Buckeye fans in Ohio! But he is the sweetest horse, scopey and athletic! Grace enjoyed getting to know him and they were in the ribbons all throughout the summer. The grand finale was the 1.35m Classic win and division Champion at Kentucky Bluegrass show this weekend. @gracedefoe_ride you have so much perseverance and resilience we are so proud of you! Thank you to Ashland Farms for such a great summer and looking forward to the future ahead. A photo popped up in my memories from this time years ago with “little Grace” in first place and division Champion on her first jumper! 🤩 What a journey! #grateful
