what a blessing it is to have called you my friend, but to now call you my sister in Christ. May this video be a testimony of the goodness of God and an encouragement of how important it is to be obedient to His calling of sharing the Gospel! #JesusisKing #Jesuslovesyou

The biggest lesson I learned at our youth retreat?
**I need to let go of control and fully trust in God.**

Although thinking I have control feels like stability, feels like wisdom, it actually decreases my dependence on God.
Faith grows when we loosen our grip and let Him lead.

Follow for more hard earned faith encouragement!!🌺

August 30, 2005. My first day at Grace Fellowship in Latham, NY. Only six months earlier, Jesus had radically saved me. I was nineteen, a pre-law student working at an immigration law firm, with a carefully mapped-out future of my own making. But one encounter with the living God turned everything upside down.

The church needed someone to count the tithe and manage the care pastor’s calendar. It seemed simple, almost small. Yet in that moment, God was quietly reordering my entire life. A book I had read, Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper, had stirred a conviction deep in me: that every breath, every moment, every effort must be poured out for Christ.

I stepped into ministry with no idea of the cost or the beauty, no understanding of how it would break me, remake me, and mark me forever. I could not have imagined that in 2016, while leading worship, God would once again redirect me—this time to pursue an HR degree, shifting my calling from songs sung on Sundays to the hidden work of shepherding staff health and well-being.

These twenty years have been a paradox: joy and sorrow, fulfillment and emptiness, moments of wanting to quit and moments where the goodness of God felt almost too much to bear. But through it all, one truth has anchored me: intimacy with Christ is the only reward worth seeking, the only treasure worth holding, the only reason to remain faithful when everything else is stripped away.

Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long. Psalm 25:4-5

Today I give thanks—for the privilege of 20 years in ministry, for the mystery of God’s call, and for the promise that whatever lies ahead, His glory is the goal.

Unto Him be all the glory.

Community In Action! 🪴🎨🎒FCC welcomed 7 different corporate volunteer groups during the month of August - Representatives from CAPTAIN Services’ Camp Captain Cares, Walmart, Grace Fellowship, FIFCO USA, Shade Tree Advisors, and Saratoga Hilton rolled up their sleeves and made a real difference in helping us fulfill our mission! 51 dedicated volunteers collectively assisted in composting and laying grass seed in our Food Pantry Garden, painting rocks for our new Kindness Rock Garden, moving, organizing, and setting up school supplies, painting the fence at the Food Pantry Garden, clearing out overgrowth in the garden, painting the exterior of the storage garage, packing school supplies, helping out at our Project Lift Back to School Night Event, and painting the porch of the Food Pantry.

Thank you to all of our corporate volunteer groups this month! We could not complete this hard work and carry out our essential programs and services without you! If you’re interested in launching a corporate volunteer project with FCC, email julianna@franklincommunitycenter.org for more information.
