Today, we sent two teams to the Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition, where they will try a wrongful death case: The Estate and Parents of Rebecca McGee v. the School Board of Sunshine County. On October 8, 2023, eight-year-old Rebecca McGee was dropped off on the wrong side of Waters Avenue by a School Board employee. While crossing six lanes of traffic, she was struck and killed by an oncoming SUV beyond the median. Although the driver is not a party to the suit, the School Board has identified the driver as a nonparty at fault.

Good luck teams! We know you guys are going to kill it!
