my sister is still my favorite person to photograph, even when it’s thousands of miles away and over facetime ❣️ (many many talented photographers have been doing FT shoots, including my incredible friend @abbeylmoore who photographed me a few weeks ago and is working on a really beautiful series right now. i’m not really sure if this type of documentation is something i could/would do, but i wanted to at least try once with my favorite subject and her boyfriend 🌹♥️)

my relationship with grace is the only relationship in my life that i have never once questioned, doubted, or had to work through. which is kinda wild!! a true constant. i know how incredibly lucky that is, and i feel just that lucky to have her as a sister. happy birthday to this spoooky halloween baby that i have loved for 23 years and beyond!!!!

the first two photos were taken this week, in my sister’s college house, a month before she moves out and onto her post-grad life. the last two photos were taken in 2012, in my parents house, two weeks before they moved in. a happy lighting coincidence, 7 years apart. photographing my little sister was how i first got interested in this medium twelve years ago and she is still and forever one of my favorite subjects ♥️
