Rich in relationships. Rich in community. Rich in serving. Rich in worship. Rich in people who pray for me and my family and people I get to pray for. Rich in the moments that point us back to Jesus.

Put the word out at my church asking if anyone would like to join me in quilting. I had no idea how many would show up, if the sewists had ever quilted or what level of expertise any would have. I decided to start out simple and go from there. A whole group of ladies and I met up a few times and together we made a quilt top! This quilt will be auctioned off later this year to raise funds for a local organization called Hope 29:11 that supports children in my area who aren’t raised by their biological parents. It’s been humbling to make something to give back to the fellow youth in my community and to work alongside others with big hearts eager to serve.🩷

EDITED: RESCHEDULED DUE TO WINTER STORM TO SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7th. Officially launched a quilting ministry at my church eager to give back to my community. Our first quilting project will be a collaborative effort to make a quilt that will be auctioned off for @hope29_11foundation for high-risk children. If you’re in WNC and you’re interested, send me a message! Hope 29:11 is an organization empowering children to thrive in their own community and grow to impact future generations serving high-risk children (ages 10-18) not living with parents, using animal care and nature to build self-confidence and faith.

A year ago today, Hurricane Helene tore through Southern Appalachia. Record-breaking rainfall triggered floods and landslides that swept away homes and left families wondering if they’d ever return. In this final film, you’ll hear from Charles Wyatt, a lifelong Western North Carolina resident, as he remembers the night muddy waters rose inside his home and trapped him and his wife. Today, thanks to your generosity, the Wyatts are home again.   Their story is a reminder of all that has been rebuilt in this first year of restoration. This is only the beginning. Year one of a five-year plan to restore Western North Carolina is complete, and other organizations are continuing the work. If you’d like to keep supporting, visit the link in our bio. The Catawba River flows just behind Jennifer Blevins’ home in Marion, NC, where she has lived for 24 years. As Hurricane Helene swept through Western North Carolina, the river swelled higher than ever before. Jennifer and her family had to flee when the muddy water began filling their home, with no sign of stopping. They left not knowing if they would ever return. Today, Jennifer is home again because of your generosity. More families’ stories coming Saturday, September 27th. Shot by @dylanclinton2 #hurricanehelene #wnc #westernnc
