Grace! ✨

Smiles and laughter and energy! Wow did we EVER love this day together. There’s nothing we love more than getting to know a family and photographing countless siblings & cousins! And with Grace, we felt like we knew her from day 1 because we’ve photographed 3 of her cousins!💕

We know one thing to be true, and that is: when you’re spending time with Grace, it’s going to be filled with fun, you’re going to laugh, and you might talk about cheeseburgers 😊 Luckily we love all of the above, and we’d do this day again in a heartbeat if we could! I love you, Poppy

I am so grateful to have had such an amazing and inspiring man as my grandfather.

And to me and my cousins, he was our Poppy. Poppy and Nana would take us on a trip Up North every summer so we could swim in the lake and go fishing. Poppy and Nana were the ones at every school event growing up, every extracurricular activity, and even made an annual trip to Texas while I was in college so we could spend time together. He was generous beyond belief, with both his resources and time. My mom said it perfectly in her eulogy: “He was a busy man, but never too busy to take time for someone else.”

Above all else, he showed me and everyone else that looked up to him the importance of prioritizing the ‘friends who are family’ and ‘family who are friends’. I think this is one of the greatest things I learned from him and what I want to emulate in my own life.

I love you, Poppy. And thank you for showing me the kind of person I will strive to be.
