Bruise Violet | TRAILER Bruise Violet ( @bruisevioletfilm ) is a stylistic homage to the 90s feminist-punk scene, following a volatile riot grrrl that has to balance her crumbling relationships moments before her band gets on stage. Focusing on queer and femme representation, the story aims to start conversation around the morally grey areas of progressive spaces where those that seek to uplift voices are oftentimes the same ones keeping them quiet. APPLE OF OUR EYE Maybe someday I’ll post this creation, but until then, here’s some BTS from my Directing II class final! TRIGGER WARNING: long caption… Not to be dramatic, but last semester was a bit traumatic. About a week into the semester, I started having at least two seizures a week. As someone who had never had a seizure before, this was all very new. The semester was full of doctor’s appointments, tests, and lots and lots of medications. Good news: my wonderful team at Northwestern Hospital has gotten my seizures under control, and things are much better. #blessup I am so, so thankful for my friends, teachers, and family who supported me through this and continue to inspire me to pursue my dreams. Sometimes what feels like the end is just a bump in the road. Long story short, I don’t remember much of last semester… at all. Even though my brain wasn’t working and I have minimal memories of this project, I’m forever grateful for everyone who stood by my side and that I’m able to continue doing what I love most. Lots and lots of love to my beautiful, talented, amazing crew. I am so thankful for all of you and your hard work on this project. April 2025 #filmstudent #chicagofilmmakers #shortfilm #epilepsy
