My grandfather’s garden is the closest I’ve ever come to knowing him; although we never met, the life he planted still grows around me. Walking through it as a child felt like standing in the presence of his spirit, where love continues to bloom long after a person is gone. So standing at the gates feels like a threshold into the world he left behind.

For me city bikes are kind of a sense of freedom, having a wide access to them all over the city knowing they will always be a mode of transportation when you are in a rush, don’t want to walk, or simply want to ride around on the bike. I feel more connected to the city and community when riding Citi Bike.

GOODMORNING from my IPHONE ….I woke up this morning to one of those albums your phone makes, showing me what I was doing this time last year. It fascinates me how many things I managed to squeeze into a two-week period as a single mom of four and a working photographer.WTF I need to slow down !!!!

In just two weeks I:
1. Photographed Alex Cooper in Malibu.
2. Flew to New York and celebrated my 19-year-old daughter’s birthday.
3. Photographed my pregnant goddaughter two days before she gave birth to her first baby.
4. Flew to Ireland for a special gathering with Charles Finch (of course I brought my Hermès towels).
5. Went to London and spent time with my close friend Tierney Horne working on the layout for my Hermès towel book.
6. Discovered Anya Hindmarch handbags( bought a present for my niece and nephews wife ! ).
7. Flew to Italy to photograph Lauren Sánchez for her wedding.
8. Flew back home to Malibu.
