Today’s episode is called guarding your heart doesn’t mean you have to numb it.

I’ve noticed that simply not caring about other people has become a trend on social media more recently. It’s upsetting to scroll through social media and see how popular this narrative is. Even those who actually feel very deeply feel a pressure to change their hearts to fit this narrative that society and the media feeds.

As someone who feels very deeply, I won’t pretend that it’s butterflies and rainbows all the time. This quality was something I had to learn to love about myself because it comes with challenges. I feel negative emotions very deeply but also feel positive emotions very deeply. But as much as society tries to tell us caring is a burden or annoying, this could not be further from the truth. It is actually a beautiful gift to care deeply. We need more people who genuinely care about others in the world!

If you are someone who cares and feels deeply that is very special especially in the bitter world we live in today. God trusted you with a big heart to take care of those around you. Never ever change the way that you feel for an imperfect world. Instead, embrace the big beautiful heart that God intended for you to have!

Today’s episode is on filling your own cup!

From a young age, I relied on other people heavily for my overall happiness. This was something I did not become fully aware of until I got older. I have gotten a lot better about this but am human, so I still struggle with this unhealthy habit from time to time.

Learning how to fill your own cup is one of the best things you can do for yourself! It is a habit that has seriously changed my life! Do what makes you feel fulfilled and whole! Whether that’s spending time with your loved ones, doing a 20 step skincare routine, or serving others. Find what makes YOU happy!

Hey guys! Today’s episode is a very special one to me because this is something that has taken a long time for me to share. I figured now would be the perfect time because it is mental health awareness month. Today I will be sharing my mental health journey. I would say if you were to listen to any of my podcasts, I would probably recommend this one out of all of them. If you feel similarly to how I did during this time in my life or can relate in some way, I just want to tell you that you are not alone. If you feel hopeless, worthless, and maybe even like there is simply not a place for you, I can promise you that your thoughts couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many people that care about you and want to help you even if you don’t feel like it. Opening up is seriously one of the best things you can do for yourself. As someone who has been through dark times, I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel! You are so so loved and you are meant to be here! I love you!
