Well just when I thought this day would take forever to come now it has, my last season at SC4 volleyball has come to an end... I’ve been thinking a lot about how grateful I am not just for the sport, but for the people God placed in my life through it. Volleyball has gotten me through so many stages of my life. But more importantly the girls that were there by my side. Every practice, every game, every long day… they were there, and they made it all worth it. God really knew what he was doing when he surrounded me with teammates who pushed me, supported me, and made me feel understood. This team became a place where I could show up fully myself, no matter what was going on outside the gym. Closing out this season, I’m proud of the person I’ve become. I showed up when things were heavy, pushed myself when it would’ve been easier to give up, and found strength in moments I didn’t expect. Volleyball has been my anchor for so much of my life, and this season reminded me why it gives me a place to fight, to breathe, and to rediscover who I am. God used this chapter to stretch me, to build me, and to show me that I’m capable of more than I thought. I’m walking away from this season more confident, more grounded, and more grateful.
