One of the coolest things about Kalamazoo is the people who show up for their community!

Huge shoutout to my friend @gracetriemstra and the face behind GoNanas for coming out and supporting the @kzoorunclub !

Not only did she show up, but she brought a ton of FREE goodies for everyone to enjoy!

If you haven’t tried GoNanas, you’re missing out! Go check them out, grab a bag (or five), and support a local business!

What an incredible night of fellowship, food, and gutter balls!!! Huge thanks to everyone who made it out to bowl last night despite the weather. 🙏😁

Where two or more are gathered he is there!!! Such an amazing opportunity to build fellowship, make new friends and embarrass ourselves together.

A year ago, I never would’ve imagined my life would look like this.

Leaving my full-time job as an ER nurse and stepping into something completely different was truthfully scary. I didn’t have it all figured out and you guys know I’m highlyyy type A over here 🥲 but I just knew I wanted to be able to express more creativity, more freedom, and a life that felt like finding ‘me’ again..

Today, I got to attend my first creator event. 😭🤍

I sat in a room surrounded by powerful, inspiring businesswomen. I listened. I learned. I met so many incredible fellow creators. And more than once I caught myself thinking… how is this my life now?

One thing said during the creator panel today has stuck with me:
“Passion is messy. It’s raw. And it’s real.”

And maybe that’s why it resonated so much. This entire pivot has been messy. I’ve questioned myself, heard plenty of no’s, wondered if I was crazy for trying to build something completely new… and kept going anyway.

I’m nowhere near where I want to be yet, but today was one of those little reminders that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. 🥹

So incredibly grateful to @go_nanas for inviting me and creating a space where women can learn from, encourage, and genuinely root for one another.

Heres to always doing things that light you up inside, even when you have absolutely no idea where they might take you.

The past few weeks have been something really special! I have gone fishing, been consistent in the gym, and getting back into running. Tbh, though, i really didn't think after about a year being away from running that i would run again. Especially dealing with knee problems for a while! But, I am so grateful that I chose to join this run club and get back at it! It has been so much fun meeting new people at each run. Thank you to @jnzesiger for starting this group!! It truly has been so much fun!! 🙂❤️. Looking forward to meeting more people and more runs!! 😊
